the amount of shit that i've heard red sox fans throw at san diego fans for 50 years is unbelievable. fans of these marquee teams have enjoyed baseball being basically only about them for generations, and they've talked out of the side of their necks about fans being "fair weather" and so much nonsense. i hope the padres do win a WS, the fans in san diego have never got jack shit for their fandom for 60 years. the red sox have won 4 world series in the last 20 years, more than any other franchise, and these fair weather red sox fans are losing their minds this offseason because their team is kinda shitty...and they'll still talk shit about the angels. fuck them.

Plans change. Perry realized how weak our lineup is and that the money would need to go there in the offseason. We need a Shortstop and possibly an OF. The thing is, if you watched games this year, Iglesias regressed big time. Nobody could have predicted that. His velo was down, and he was hittable--from the A's, the Jays, the White Sox...he didn't look like a $16 million dominant closer. And everyone wanted to re-sign him last year. 
Another reason he does this is because back-end relief is actually our biggest prospect strength right now. Joyce, Murphy, Marte, Peguero, Bachman, C-Rod, and Torres all have a chance to fill that role. We have a lot of cheap options for the 8th and 9th inning right now. That wasn't true 9 months ago. So we move off of Iglesias' money--obviously some for Ohtani--but also to spread around in a better way to improve our depth. And we get a possible LRP or #5 starter out of it. Not bad. 

I would like to see the Angels use him between innings doing stuff like racing a sausage or a guy in a sumo suit.

Clearly this has been discussed in that house. My guess is she’s been wanting him to retire for a while.

No one mentioned any dick pics, but he did send several shirtless pics and repeatedly asked for pics in return. He texted or emailed women over and over again even though they weren't responding. He made some inappropriate comments in-person about their outfits, looks, etc. When he was manager of the Mets, he liked to use the "If you come out and get drunk with me, I'll give you juicy news about the team" line as well. 
One woman also said that he thrust his crotch at her in the middle of a 1:1 interview.

The story didn't confirm or deny that. There were multiple quotes in the story about how Callaway had a horrible reputation among the women in the industry. There was also a quote from one of the women expressing confusion about how multiple teams hired him without being aware of his terrible reputation: "How would that be possible? At this point, it's his reputation. If they are vetting him, even an ounce of his personal life should reveal this." 

I mentioned the piped-in noise thing to my wife and daughter and almost simultaneously they both asked about piping in fart noises.

Gents, I must say that today I made the biggest vocal blunder of my life.  I had the privilege of being in a zoom meeting with my pastor and Giants great Dave Dravecky.  As we were rolling, I had my pastor clap to sync audio.  I then asked Dave to clap as well.  WTF was I thinking??? Watch for pure enjoyment.
