Leadership from our veterans.  Something is suspect when our rookies (O'Hoppe and Neto) sense the leadership void and choose to shoulder the load.  A true clubhouse leader NEVER would have let Rendon get away with the crap he chose to do last year.  Tony NoBags also displayed his disrespect for both Nevin AND the rest of the Halos.  
The fact that Ron Washington is on record saying that he will teach Trout and Rendon how to be leaders, also speaks volumes.

Not signing Beltre was the start of the Angels downfall.  It lead to acquiring Wells (losing Juan Rivera and Napoli), Pujols (which gave us an awkward 4 first-basemen when combined with Kendrys , Trumbo, and CJ Cron in Milb), Hamilton, and CJ (nuff said), getting rid of Torii (who dared to challenge Albert), trading Kendrys, etc...
All of this because Arte thought it was wise to make Beltre a "take it or leave it" offer, which Adrian simply used as his negotiations floor.
So yeah, Adrian's numbers place him in the HOF, but he shouldn't get in due to the perpetual damage he placed upon the Halos.  ZERO SUM!!!

Agree on Rendon.  I winced every time the ball was hit to him, his throwing motion just begs for an E5.

Well, we can have him play right field on away games, and left field at home, that would minimize the distance he has to run in-between innings.  I'll bet you never thought about THAT!!!

When Trout started to catch the injury bug, I was comforted by two big differences with Mantle: Mickey had an injury going back to childhood, and he also was a notorious drinker. 
With Trout, though, I think his recurrent injuries have a lot to do with his bulky body type, which puts a lot of stress on joints and legs (see, "Pujols, Albert"). I'd rather he take a leaner, meaner approach and work on flexibility, even if it means a few less HR. Or rather, it would probably mean more HR because he'd play more. Do some yoga, bub. 

Thanks guys for all of the podcasts this year, they were are all interesting and I listened to all of them!  Hope you can continue to do some more this Fall and Winter as interesting news happens on the Angels front.  It could be a wild offseason.
