People said the same thing about us for awhile now and some are saying similar things today. Hope to prove them wrong but...

I dunno man -- people are really excited about their pitching haul, but DeGrom is carrying a lot of weight there. There is a real possibility that he is surrounded by a bunch of mediocrity. Their outfield is still pretty meh, they have nothing at third base and their depth is not very good. Now matter how good they are at 1st/2nd/ Short/ C, most scenarios probably have them as a well-below average offense. 

Is DeGrom, half an offense, and a solid bullpen really enough to win half their games? I'm not sold yet. 

They key once again will be keeping starters off the DL.  No other metric  is more to blame for the playoff drought.   I figure the Angels are due for a year of relative health.

This re-affirms what people have been saying on here: the Angels need to go out and keep adding to the roster.
Even another reliever or a 6th starter could elevate them above Seattle and closer to TOR/TB.

What's sad is this exact scenario has played out at least twice already.

Well, on April 22, when Trout is hitting .380/.490/.740, I'll make a thread about how he could have the best offensive season ever. On June 22, when he's missed the last 40 games due to a broken vagitarsal, y'all will have plenty of material to bag on me.

With Arte back halos will now stay under lux tax so sad to say Angel's are done adding.

There can be no Angels Mount Rushmore without the guy that turned the team around and molded it into an actual model franchise.

I like Regifo, and I'm not a big Andrus fan, but we are sleeping on the fact that Fletcher/Rengifo might be a significant negative next season. 

Thanks for posting, @jsnpritchett. But damn, seems like this guy is just looking at minor league numbers to assemble his rankings rather than actual scouting.

Revenue Sharing. The NFL has this figured out. MLB will probably never adjust.
It's why MLB is a regional sport and the NFL is a National/International powerhouse.

I would love to be able to watch the Halos on MLB.TV live without the stupid local blackout restrictions.

But then he became a food snob (and talked about it like anyone would give a shit) and started to criticize clubs for their approach rather than evaluating prospects. At that point, he clearly was out of his depth. He kind of reminds me of a lot of Mel Kiper -- was good once, but then his name blew up and he became lazy in his evaluations. 

There was a time when Law was good. But then he became a food snob (and talked about it like anyone would give a shit) and started to criticize clubs for their approach rather than evaluating prospects. I do think the Rangers might be the most improved team in MLB but Angels are at minimal a WC contender. 

So, basically, we didn't sign all of Turner, Verlander, and Judge.
