We're in a day & age where our athletes are 'me first' over 'team first'.  I get it.  I don't respect it.  He's not getting the deal he feels he deserves, so he quit on his team.  I think it's as simple as that.

I don't feel super-strongly about it one way or another but I voted "no" because really, with 5 games left, and not even eliminated from playoff contention, he's under contract and should be with the team.
Unless there's a really good reason that I haven't heard yet.

If Ohtani isn’t going to be there opening day Heaney deserves it. He has the talent. Hopefully this year he can put it together and be the ace this team needs. 

I've always liked Barry Bonds, mainly because he was one hell of a player - the best player of the 90s, and that was before he started taking steroids. But I found his "fuck you, media" attitude kind of fun. I'm not saying he was a good guy, but he was larger than life.
I generally don't like to reduce things to racism unless it is blatant, and there are other factors, but in his case I think it is relevant. Or rather, it is a combination of his personalilty, never cozying up to the media, and because he's a "black man with an attitude." We saw similar treatment of Albert Belle. White assholes are often interpreted as being "characters" or "scrappy," but black assholes are seen more negatively, like they're not playing their proper role and appreciative for being able to play major league baseball.
 

We've gone through this before.  I don't want any problems watching tv, I dvr everything, and I don't want any damn drops that I always read about with subscription services.
I pay $1,200 a year to watch through my satellite with 300 channels.  I make enough money, I'm not fucking around with splitting subscriptions with my aunt, getting vpn subscriptions, and all the other hoops that 'subscriber guy' has to jump through.
 

I voted yes as I think the Angels with Clevinger and Marsh are better than the Angels with Adell and Marsh.  

Before we consider anything drastic, let's see what Mickey Callaway can do with Barria, Canning, Sandoval, and Suarez.
