They are the two teams in baseball that have endless money compared to us. They're also the two teams that were a Cole away from being WS favorites if everyone stays healthy.
I've accepted it. I wanted Cole bad, but reality was that we were probably always a distant 3rd due to the state of our team vs the Dogs and Skanks. I'll be interested to see what the Dogs final offer was. 

this board hates bumgarner, which is lunacy. dude got wrecked on an atv, then came back and got himself back into form. the guy threw 200 innings of sub 4 era ball, as he always seems to do, but the angels can't use that. i bet he has a better year next year, than this past year. if his team makes the playoffs watch him do what he always seems to do in big games, which is buckle down and deliver. 
i'd love to have a pitcher throw sub 4 ball and 200 innings for 5 years.

sometimes you don't get to fuck the prom queen. that doesn't mean there aren't other knockouts who may be willing to do the dirty stuff that she isn't. sometimes what seems like second place turns out to be the grand prize.

Agreed. If we would have won a WS in Pujols' tenure and he aided in that, I don't think you'd find a lot of fans who hated that contract as much as you do now. 

if they win another WS or two in that time, they'll probably be okay with it.

i think we are going to see marsh and others moved to the cubs. i'm not happy about that. i think it's a bad move.
depending on if something like that happens, if their FA moves are rendon, madbum, then that is interesting. although many here will lose their collective minds over that also.

I'd MUCH rather sign Donaldson for 3 or 4 years, vs trading for Bryant.

i believe all of you who are going off the deep end have forgotten, it is darkest before dawn. i think a lot of good things are going to happen for the angels in the next very short while, and i think the team will be better off for it.
i don't give a shit about cole, strassburg, madbum, rendon, or any other FA individually. i do believe that if the angels use their money on numerous key acquisitions that this team will win more games than they would have with only cole. 
it's ok if you guys need to lose your shit because you had an idea in your head that you wanted, but when you're done just remember there are many very good players out there that we can get to get this team to where they need to be.
