i don't think i've ever known a team that for years with same/similar core players who consistently never answer a bell. it dumbfounds my mind how unbelievably soft this franchise has become.
when it comes time to show what they're made of and if they have any pride, these guys are the suckiest bunch of sucks who ever sucked.

I really like minasian. He’s got a vision and a plan. Players need to execute and coaches need to deploy that game plan accordingly.

That would be a huge mistake. He's one of the best GMs we've had in a long time.

Thank you. Even during his perfect saves run he was pretty sketchy a lot of those outings.
Start warming up a new guy to close games in 2024. I like Soriano.
Our broadcasters sound so defeated in this 9th inning. They barely have words. This team continues to look like the biggest joke in baseball for adding all these pieces at the deadline. Wow.
Fuck you Arte. Sell the fucking team to an owner that knows how to delegate decisions to people with baseball minds.

Well they responded the next 3 games exactly how everyone expected they would after Thursday night. This team was full of soft players that weren't up for the challenge and they folded like a house of cards. I don't live in CA so I'm cancelling my Extra Innings right now. No need to pay $35 the next 2 months to watch them play spoiler. No thanks. See you all in spring of 2024.

Thank fully they don't require anyone pass an IQ test in order to connect to the internet and punch a keyboard.  Otherwise we would all miss so much comedic musings.

We get it.  You guys want Nevin fired.  Go find another team when he is still here next year because the smarter people in the franchise make decisions based on understanding the game, not like a bunch of over emotional little girls

Terrible loss. Bringing in a reliever that isn’t used to high leverage situations against the Astros was dumber than using your closer in the 8th. I could see trying to get Estevez with a 6 out save but Nevin in his great wisdom just lost us a series, which we haven’t won since we played KC.

Nevin must be drinking gasoline between innings because putting your closer into a 4-run game to start the 8th inning is some absolute wet brain neanderthal shit. What an utter dolt.

7-3 and you just completely mismanage the game at a child like level. Oh here let’s throw the closer in the 8th and put A starter in for the 9th ageerhwhrhebe agafxhcjucbhajs

    Terrible leadership.
Moreno and Carpino are probably one of the worst owner/executive combos in all of sports.
A constant revolving door at GM and manager.
Trout is a great player, but seems to be incapable of rallying a team around him. He’s just not a leader at all.
Shohei lacks cultural identification to be a leader or so it seems. So you have no true leader that is a key player.

The organization sucks at everything. They do nothing well. Until Arte Moreno sells the team, nothing is going to change. The problem is he won’t sell the team because Angels fans don’t really care about winning and are quite uneducated about baseball as a whole. We at AngelsWin are the 1%.
Angels fans will show up for a fun night at the ballpark and get to see Ohtani and Trout even though the foundation of the entire organization is completely broken. Wins and losses don’t really matter to Angels fans.
We’ve gone through this for a decade now yet we still get the nut-swingers saying everything is okay and it’s really no one’s fault. It is what it is. Until the fans start expecting better, why would Moreno need to do anything better? He’s a rich elite that only gives a shit about the bottom line and his development deal. And unfortunately, our fans are either too stupid and/or don’t care to hold him accountable for the garbage product his franchise continues to put on the field.

I have to say, part of me wants to see Shohei as an Angel for life so bad that I almost don’t even care if the contract prohibits them from being competitive.
He is just ridiculous to watch. It’s truly insane. The dude just struck out 10 and hits 100 and popped two HRs. When he’s on, it’s really as entertaining as a winning team.

I actually agree, but also understand it'll never happen while Arte owns the team. But I admit, if they did, it would be incredible deadline. The package you could get for guys like Ohtani, Ward, Renfroe, Urshela, Drury could do things in the future.

Ohtani and Trout can look themselves right in the mirror as a reason why this team isn't in 1st. They crumble in big moments.

The problem is that the same worthless assholes that couldn’t build a winner *with* trout and Ohtani are going to be trying to build this winning unicorn.  It’s true that Trout and Ohtani haven’t been enough but it’s also true that the Angels are absolutely even more lost without them.  The organization is just shitty.

Arte wasting everyone’s time with the pretend sale was the worst thing that could have possibly happened.  Disaster.

He has definitely had some big hits in the 9th - that home run against St. Louis a few weeks ago comes to mind. Hell, that leadoff single tonight could have been huge, but no one even moved him over.
My point was more that it has been a depressing last few years with this team and when I hear Gubi say that Trout's last walkoff was in 2015 - or hear him mention for the 500th time Trout's grand slam against Chris Sale, which will be nine years ago in a week - it makes me realize just how long it has been since I have felt true excitement being an Angels fan.
