You can't put guys in the lineup that have been awful all year (CJ for game 3 and Hamilton)

Take out 2002 and Scioscia is 8-20 in the playoffs.

MLB Now referenced a study recently that showed end of the season momentum is nonsense.  The Angels haven't really been trying to win for a while now. They have been playing it safe, getting the bullpen rest, etc.  

Honestly, they'll either hit or they won't. I saw an Angels' wild card team come into post-season and hit like the 1927 Yankees and I've seen a couple of Angels' teams that were arguably the best team in baseball come in and hit like the 2014 Padres. What they do in the last week of the season with a three day layoff won't affect them one bit.

Let's just not push our luck with another arm and try and make a starter out of a reliever at the end of the season. This is not the time of year you try and add more time on a guys shoulder/elbow and change his whole routine to cover the last 11 games of the season. And it is not even 11 games, it is probably two starts before the entire season is considered complete for the Angels and they rest anyone that is on the post season roster.
 
Rasmus is not going to be a post season starter. He will be lucky to get a spot in the bullpen at long relief if he makes the roster. So this is a high risk/no reward maneuver to make him into a 5-6 innings starter.

They should give Rucinski the next 2 starts and have him go 6. Save the pen for the playoffs.

You save Rasmus for Wilson's start ideally. Bullpen is deep.
 
The key will be for Shoe and Weaver to give the team 6+ in their starts.

dogs only 1 game ahead of the giants.
they might have to waste Kershaw in the WC game.

I'm in the minority here but I want Hamilton back. Not hitting cleanup, but 7th or 8th in the lineup. Only playing against righties too
