Next year's free agents for outfield is TERRIBLE!  Eppler knows this.  Going for a platoon in the outfield is a terrible idea.  At this point, I'm down for any of the top 4/5 outfield guys.  We need that impact bat.  I think needs to become a #5 hitter now and let our new OF hitter step in.  Gosh I hope!

Cespedes is a brown version of Calhoun. Whilst this wouldn't be a terrible addition to the lineup, the Angels still need LH bats and guys to drive in.
 
Gordon makes far more sense than Cespedes.
 
And Heyward makes far more sense than anyone else.
 
Which is why we'll end up with Cespedes and he'll pull a Vernon on us.

I have collected since I was 6 years old (1986) and have put together a pretty nice Angels collection over the years. I have hit some duds over the years (Kotchman, Mathis, Jenks, etc) but I am completely in the black on Mr. Trout. Most of these were bought upon release or before he blew up in 2011. The most I dished out on any of these was $200 for the Finest Black Plate Auto...thought I may have overpaid at the time...
 

















 

I was always skeptical of missions trips. It costs a lot of money to go somewhere and perform manual labor.  But two years ago I had the chance to go to Brazil, and I took it.  It was a trip I'd never forget.  Yeah, the beaches, waves and hotel were fun, but mostly it was the people, all cramming into these small churches in the most uncomfortable conditions to praise God.  Having nothing but giving everything.  Life changer. 
 
It actually means a lot to have guys like Heaney on the team that are willing to go out and do this.  

3 Angel employees from our GM and scouting dept have now gone to other teams.  Dipoto, Servais & Klentak?  Did we miss something here?  I think Dipoto put together a great team, but it just didn't work here because of the manager & owner.  These guys are obviously a demand and we had all of them.  Wish we could have seen what would have happened in 5 more years (without Mike S.)

At this point, I just want them to at least take 2 of 3 from the Dodgers in Sept. If they get swept again, I'll never hear the end if it from my friends. Forget the playoffs. Just don't get swept again.
