I agree with Doc, I think we're going to see a young up and comer as our next GM, probably Klentak. And I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

heading into LA to face Greinke and Kershaw after that Houston series, I had a pretty good idea of how this weekend was going to go and consequently I stayed away from the TV all weekend and just checked the score occasionally on my phone. Much less frustrating. 

I think so. AL is pretty weak this season. No clue if they win the division because the Astros have definitely improved and they probably already have more premium talent on their roster right now, but I don't see why this team won't get one of the 2 WC's
 
On paper, I don't feel comfortable thinking this team will make any serious WS run but all you have to do is get in and then who knows. I didn't think the Royals roster last season could make a serious WS run but alas

embarrassing is getting swept at home by a last place team. getting swept on the road against a good team that's been playing well all year? Meh. Disappointing, but c'mon. This team was bound to come back down to earth for a bit after playing so well. The ups and downs of a baseball season.

I'm sure news of this post is circling the clubhouse as we speak and attitudes are being re-adjusted accordingly.

I'd have to imagine Detroit will be looking for multiple high-upside prospects, not a 28 year-old pitcher who was never projected to be anything more than a mid or back of the rotation guy.

i've been watching this team the past couple days, and you know what they need? A great CF who can hit out of the 3 spot. Preferably a younger guy with both power and speed, who also hits for average. Doesn't even have to have a plus arm. Man that would be awesome.
