Now the Astros can build on this series and never look back...the Astros kicked our ass's in all phases of the game. They did the little and big things. This is a well rounded team now.

It will only look slightly worse than if we were to sweep the Dodgers. The majority of this board expect them to fail and have a "waiting for the other shoe to drop" mentality, whether it's right right or wrong.

Most of the preseason polls had the Mariners winning the division, and Astros and Angels basically in a dead heat for second. The A's were expected to finish last.

The Mariners being so bad is what was unexpected.

That said, Astros have had Angels number ever since they joined the division. In 2013 they won 11 games against the Angels and 40 against all other terms combined. Angels were the only team against which the Astros won the season series.

embarrassing is getting swept at home by a last place team. getting swept on the road against a good team that's been playing well all year? Meh. Disappointing, but c'mon. This team was bound to come back down to earth for a bit after playing so well. The ups and downs of a baseball season.
