Either one works, I just think the Dodgers would be very interested in a SP, especially from the left side, they have a surplus of corner OF, and our offense could use either one of Van Slyke, who I don't think the Dodgers would give up, or Eithier, who I think they would. 
 
I only suggested Eithier for two reasons:  1.  He hits from the left side, and we are looking for that.  2.  If we were to trade CJ, like I said, the money almost balances out evenly.

What about Mark Trumbo?  Ever since the talking heads started saying that we were looking for another OF, I thought about a reunion with Trumbo.

I think we win this deal because we got his best seasons.  Plus, its hard to argue about Heaney and the 5 seasons of club control.

Green isn't a major downgrade from Kendrick?  Wow.  OK, but the only way I move Kendrick out is if Lester, or a similar 2-3 type SP comes back.

I would like to think that the Angels are the mystery team.  No draft choice compensation attached to the player, the team philosophy is that they would go over the cap for the right player, and we could still move a piece or two off of the roster to stay relatively close to the cap. 
 
Plus, I think we need another top shelf arm to team with Weaver until Richards comes back.

How about Trevor Plouffe?  Minnesota' s top prospect, Sano, is a 3b, right?  Plouffe is a OC guy, and is FA eligible after 2015.

I would like to get Reed.  Very good last year for the White Sox.  In our park, I think he'd revert right back to form.

Before we traded for Freese, I thought Davidson would have been a good fit for us.  Hits for average, good OBP, plays a premium position.  Local guy, too.  From Yucaipa.

If he hits .280-.300 in SLC this year, we may have something.  His swing is short and quick, which translates to success at any level.
