I tend to think that he is no more and no less happy than he would be if he decided to start/run any other business as a hobby.  As a business, he's been hugely successful with the value of the team what, doubling, tripling?  As with any other business he wants to be perceived as a winner, but as long as the business model stays strong, he's satisfied, if not ecstatic.

Years ago when Ibanez was with the M's, we were in Perioa and it was raining a bit during Spring Training. He was the only player who stopped to talk to fans and sign autographs after the day was done.

I really don't care about the disproved allegations and personally feel that they should be a non-factor in any team's decision.  However, he has a history (not related to the recent case) or should I say reputation, of being immature and polarizing, at least that is the fan perception.  If the Angels can discern that he wants to move past that sort of reputation and feel he can be a good teammate, then I'm all for bringing him in.

For more than half a decade now, I have vastly preferred Angels Win to the actual Angels organization. 

If you're not on social media or don't watch the MLB Network, disregard this post. You're just fine right where you're at. 
But holy hell if you scroll through timelines on any social media app, especially X, or you're a daily viewer of the MLB Network... it's non-stop Dodgers this, Shohei Ohtani that. Just wait for the season to start, it's going to get worse.
I was going to post some examples here for those who aren't on social media and the fawning that's 24/7 on the MLB Network over Ohtani and the Dodgers, but I'll spare you. 
MLB always wanted Ohtani to be on the Dodgers or the Yankees. They got their wish and now fans of all 29 other teams have to suffer if they choose to continue to get their news & have dialogue with other fans on these outlets. 
So, thank you for those here who are Angels fans through thick and thin and have called AngelsWin.com your home for all things Halos and more.. 🙏

Is everyone forgetting that Bellinger sucked ass for like three years? .648 OPS and a 76 OPS+ and that’s with me including his last above average season in 2020 prior to 2023. 
The chances of him being Rendon 2.0 feel super high. 
I thought ERod was Snell-lite, not as good, but similar (if not higher) floor and reasonable contract and more reliable. Someone like Lourdes Gurriel feels like that for Bellinger.

Loyalty is a 2 way street. 

Lou would probably wish Ohtani best of luck not getting shanked in the parking lot.
