Trout was 15 years old at that time.
This has me wondering if a 15 year old Trout might be a better leadoff hitter than a 34 year old Anthony Rendon.
Plus, you could pay the 15 year old Trout with a handful of bubble gum and a box of baseball cards every week. Rendon we have to pay $740,000 or so every week.

Ooooo I love this. Going to use this on X. Nicely done, @Lazorko Saves
Not mine, it's from the broadcast last night.

Hmm, Ump Scorecard really missing a lot of missed calls here. This doesn't have that curveball above the zone that Taylor Ward ducked away from and was called a strike. It doesn't have all those pitches Sandoval got squeezed on at the bottom of the zone.

It's not even April yet, and I've just seen the best thing I'm going to see all season!

I don't know why, but I'm kind of unhappy that this has been solved now.
It's a bit like going to Roger Patterson's estate sale and finding a big Sasquatch suit in a nondescript cardboard box.

I remember seeing Rose in Las Vegas a few years ago. He was sitting on a chair with a small desk in front of him in one of those sports memorabilia stores you see in various malls there. Signing things. I can't remember the cost, but I think it varies according to the object being signed. I vaguely remember seeing $100. written somewhere in a sign.
Yep. He's always one of two places...either at a Las Vegas memorabilia store trying to scrounge up a few bucks by signing autographs. Or he's at a sports book watching if the few bucks he scrounged up got him a winning ticket.
I've seen him many times at the Mandalay Bay sports book in one of their private suites there.
It's pretty sad. It's obviously a clinical-level addiction for him.

Is there a market for Shohei Ohtani interpreters?
Not a free market/fair one if he really was making $500k.

Presumably, with no interpreter, Ohtani will just shrug at all the questions and then walk out of the briefing room without saying a word?

It wasn’t $4.5 at any given time, at least from my understanding. I heard it was 8 or 9 different transfers. And if they paid it off each time, why not keep extending the credit?
Ah good point, that could mean he had something like a $500k line of credit. Maybe that's reasonable for his salary.
But his salary is insane for his official duties.

Or he has more money than we think he does. His whole story is weird.
Yes. I don't buy the whole idea of an interpreter making $300k-500k range. That is insane money for an interpreter. Way above market. If he makes way less than that, then like others have said, he can't possibly be getting a $4.5m LOC with bookies. But if he does actually make that much, there is more going on than just interpreting.
And who pays that salary?

Three things I'd really like to know right now:
1. Is this the biggest bullet Arte has ever Dodgered?
2. When will Dodging season be done?
3. Can you make this stuff up?

Ah, now it all makes sense. hazelbazel didn't post a link in today's post, but there is one in a prior post. So the bot is bumping the thread to get the link some more views.
@Chuck User SandrMilky also spamming a link in this thread, probably needs to be removed also. ghamadous also suspect as a thread-bump helper account.
Schanuel's on-base streak is over due to a scoring change, Angels petition to reverse doesn't work

Agree. I've been thinking the last several games that I wouldn't mind if the streak ended. For a rookie, it would become a distraction at some point.
