If they are considering moving a young OFer for SP, I really hope they give Suzuki a look.  Dude will be 27 through August, basically at his prime and is likely going to be cheaper than the typical 27 year old OFer.
He knows how to milk a walk, can play defense, power probably translates to 15+ HRs...

I didn’t “love” it but I definitely felt it was probably the correct move.  It seemed like Heaney could be a solid starter for many years.
Instead, he was annoyingly inconsistent and never really developed into what everyone hoped, and Howie had a little left in the tank.
Bummer.  Hindsight is 20/20.

Now that we didn't deal him, let's lock this guy up. He blows a save here and there but he's elite and his arm is something you can build a bullpen around. He should be productive enough to justify a 3 year deal through his age 34 season.

Ohtani, Sandoval, Cobb, Suarez, and maybe Heaney (if not being bad in half of his starts) leaves only one spot in the rotation.
The overworked pen needs reinforcements.   And they need to let Wantz pitch.

I have to admit, I'm in the minority on this one.  I voted yes.
The reason is because I feel like the Angels really have to go for it these next few years, including this year.  With Trout and Ohtani both healthy in August/September, I think we'll have a dangerous team, especially if we can trade for a few good starters to pair with Sandoval, Ohtani, and (I hope) Suarez.
I just don't think we can "wait til next year" again because there won't be many next years where we get prime Trout and Ohtani.  Hell, I'm not sure I'd put money on likely getting *one* more year of prime two-way Ohtani... I just really fear that he's going to flame out as a two way player, given the physical demands of it.  There's an Icarus feel to this season...

I’m going to make a pretty bold prediction.  Some fans are going to like what he brings to the booth and some fans won’t.  Those who hate him will be adamant that he sucks.  A lot of idiots will continue to tell us they miss Hudler.
