good guy, good player, and definitely a really good Angel. Definitely something of a fixture for us for all these years.  He drove me nuts sometimes, but I was always glad he was on our squad at the end of the day.  I have no doubt the clubhouse will miss him.  Best of luck in Atlanta Aybar, you'll always be an Angel !!!

one of my favorite memories of Aybar was him cheering outside the dugout when we beat the Red Sox in the 2009 ALDS

A gold glove winner and an All Star for the Angels who represented the game well with heart and hustle.  Going to miss seeing him, Pujols and Trout cracking each other up.
 
For some reason, this hurts more than the Howie trade.

I don't get it. We have a above avg ss as is and we just traded for another while giving up 2 top prospects and 3 million dollars.

I'm still waiting for him to get through an entire season of being off of the disabled list while in an Angels uniform, or  trying to run in excruciating pain.....I think DH will most certainly help with that.
 
I respect the guy fully for his grit and determination to play no matter how he feels, but I want him to be productive in this 2nd chapter of his career.

I loved everything about Torii Hunter... the way he played the game, the way he treated the fans, the way he always made me laugh and smile.  He was such a joy to watch and I'm glad he spent some time with us in Anaheim.  

Don't agree with everything he has said, but as most people have said he was a great leader who came through many times when the club needed him to. The man played with more heart than most and left it all out on the field.
And yes, one of the rare Angels FA signings who was worth their contract. The way he played the game alone has earned my respect for him for life as a player. The game will miss him.

Thanks for the memories.  The home run off Lester is still the loudest I've ever heard Angel Stadium.
