Granted I don't know shit about our prospects; but does losing Jake Madden and Mason Albright really hurt our organization? I mean we are only 5 GB in the division and less than that in the WC? We have to prove to Ohtani that we are going all in. 

What am I missing here?  We had the 29th ranked farm system in the majors before these deadline trades were made.  So those of you worrying about decimating it, well was already a mess.  There is no way the farm can help in light of the significant injury to Ward, or to bridge the gap in any other way this year.  Perry and Arte are going for the best they can squeeze out of major league talent this year.  You have to make a move like the Grichuk/Cron deal because there is no way to get help internally, the near term ugly schedule will destroy you for sure otherwise.  I hope they get another reliever before this is done.

And yet they ranked third in MLB in walks coming into this weekend and are currently 5th while leading the AL with 370 to the Rangers 367.

I really liked both, but they're so far back still it's not like they're irreplaceable. This is why we drafted 20 pitchers! Just might need to do it again next year.

Again with stupid. That ball slipped out of his hand and Monoah was shook up by it. He had no intention of releasing a baseball that would hit a batter in the face.
