Sad to see, but he's had a baseball career most players can only dream of having.....
Always was a fan of his, even when he pitched against CSUF.

Hes one of the guys id like to see do a one day contract and retire an angel.

It indeed is sad.  To see him struggle like this is not fun and I hope he has finally accepted reality and retire.
I will always remember the good ole days and I wish him the best.

When we grabbed him in the offseason, i honestly had high hopes hed be a sleeper fave. Not that hed be a stud, but i figured plus defense (which hes provided), with a low BA but decent OBP and pop. Giavotella with a glove, more power less contact basically. Not a guy other fans would care about, but a suprise bat in the back of the order.
Dear god has he been bad. Love his glove, but his bat is brutal.

i hope he does well for us when he's making a  comeback at age 33.  

Let's see how he does over a few more games then I'll agree/disagree with you.  But impressive so far.

And then baseball will be even more boring.

If I got hit in the head by a baseball travelling that fast I'd be on the ground crying and screaming like a 3 year old Vietnamese girl. And the fat would have absorbed most of the impact.

I really hope he retires so he can retire a lifer Angel like Salmon. 

Love the last part about Weaver! Despite his eroding performance I will miss the man, the leader, and the player that he was for the team. If this was his last time as an Angel he immediately, in my mind, retires into that group of revered, gritty, Angels players of the past that we all know and love.

Yup. The tax payers just gave JL like $600 million. At least all the other problems in Miami were solved first.
