Good call. I understand the motivation in firing Lauer, the PP was inexplicably bad. But would this have happened if we'd won one more game against the Blackhawks? I doubt it. That always seems a little stupid to me.

I agree the article is a bit over the top (it's not particularly well-written, it's probably a fan piece and not something from a professional journalist).
But Lindholm is the real deal, and he has a chance to be one of the top d-men in the league if he keeps improving.
He's not there yet, but he's got what it takes.
He is definitely in the lidstrom/neidermeyer mold, and the fact that scotty is working with him is just awesome for his development.
The ducks are really the envy of the league with their d youth/skill, hopefully they add the missing pieces to the overall team and get some cups soon.
It will be hard to retain them all, hopefully they can.

They just get lucky in the postseason though.

I'm watching the Cardinals/Rockies game and up popped a stat that said the Cardinals have not had a losing month of baseball since June 2012.  That is absolutely amazing in the sport of baseball.  What a model of consistency that franchise is.

I was at the Angel game last Sunday with my folks, and my mom and I were getting beers between innings. She didn't have her ID (left it in the car), and her response after the cashier denied alcohol was "Are you f*cking kidding me?"
She said it pretty loud, and I was dying laughing.
My mom is like 65 with grey hair, and pretty hilarious when she's had a few drinks.
Luckily the manager walked over and gave the OK to serve beer.
I was a little bummed out that the situation was defused so quickly. It could have turned into a scene.

Had some street tacos today and they were tremendous. Two BMs since. Would do again.

I agree with your point here and I may not be taking it into account enough.  Another WS run would obviously change things and the Angels would be able to charge a premium for their tickets.  However, with the lack of any sort of playoff run lately, I think they should be less aggressive in their pricing, especially in the upper view.  The upper view is really just an undesirable location to sit, which is why it needs to be cheap for people to come out to the ballpark and sit there. 

BTW, I should mention the Angels management has different goals than I would have if I owned the team.  Their main focus is maximizing revenue right now, which is fine it's their decision to make.  However, I believe this will hurt them in the long run by alienating would be fans of the Angels.  If I owned the team my goal would be to fill the ballpark every night and to keep growing our fan base so that way the next generation of adults will still be following Angels baseball in large numbers.  Neither is necessarily right or wrong, it's just a difference in philosophy.  However, I believe that the majority of Angel fans would like my philosophy of cheaper tickets and a sold out, electric stadium rather than the current Angels management philosophy of squeezing every last dollar out of the fan coming to the ballpark that is 2/3 full.

Someone should start an annual campaign to vote in MLBs worst regular.

Agreed, no matter how much I hate Hawks, Wings, Kings fans invading the Honda Center I absolutely believe they have the right to do so.  I try to do a trip to 1 or 2 away games a year and would be really pissed if a team I went to visit had a Tampaesqe policy.

Solid if you followed or liked the series. Never going to win any awards and the same fun bullshit in a two hour version so each character had their moments. Good wrap up, but the thing that was cool for fans of the show is that you expected the great Ari moments, but they stood out more because of the time off, so there was the nostalgia aspect to watching everyone all over again.
 
The thing that really stood out is the possibility for some good movies to come out in the near future:

Black Mass (I really hope this is Blow 2)
Ted 2
 
And I feel like there is another trailer or two they showed that has potential. But yeah, only one super hero trailer this time (The Ant or something about an ant that looks terrible)
