Clearly, the situation was bad.  Jerry Dipoto forfeited salary and may have ruined his chances of getting another GM job.  Expecting him to continue to deal with what drove him out... just so he could resign when it is more convenient for fans and this year's club... oy vey.  As someone said, it isnt a marriage.  He didn't sign up for the armed forces.

The last 30 days Joyce is hitting .243, Obp of .371, and has an OPS of .830. Aybar, Freese, Cron, Iannetta and Calhoun are all worse In that period. So just who are we replacing to get better results, and who is available that can get better results? It's pretty hard to pinpoint the hole to plug right now. We can get ourselves in big trouble in the longer haul if we aren't smart about the process of improvement.

I don't think the organization is in much of a hurry to give away the young arms for a quick fix either. The current starters are starting to show signs of degradation, not improvement.

We might have to sacrifice this year for better long term results.

Stuff like this is the reason it is hard to take you seriously. The team has a huge inning, an inning you even said was the highlight of the season, and you complain about the Angels broadcast not mentioning it. I am guessing if it wasn't in the middle of a huge inning they might have found it, and talked about it. Oh and because Victor doesn't mention it, the media is going downhill, even though he ACTUALLY responded to your tweet, you take a cheap shot at him. If I am missing something and misrepresenting how you feel, then I apologize.

Only 10 teams make the playoffs and only one wins. The World Series Champion is not always the best or the highest paid team.
 
You have to be in the playoffs to win it. 20 teams from last year would have loved to be in the Angels situation.
 
I'm a fan from the 70's, when just making the playoffs was something we Angel fans used to dream of.
