I hope Fletcher and Ward keep it up and have a shot to make the team next year.  I don't see us re-signing Kinsler.  Ward would be nice to have on the team as an emergency catcher.

I can get behind bringing Anderson out to start the 9th. I was surprised there was no hook after the homerun. The intentional walk was... upsetting.

I don't know why some people are complaining about Richards' outing last night.  So he gave up a home run to Dozier.  Richards did not walk anybody last night.  63 strikes in 94 pitches.  I'm certainly not ready to let him walk in free agency.

He can hit the ball as hard as humanly possible, but if it's right into the shift every time...

Well I am already not happy with a regular RF hitting .150 with the risk of it being the difference between postseason and no postseason.

The whole conversation is not about having Ohtani become a RF.  The original question is if they would have the balls to ever put Ohtani in RF should all the other pieces tempt them. . .like Calhoun still miserably bad and if Valbuena was destroying the ball offensively.
The Angels might be in the "absolutely not under any circumstances" camp and that's fine.  I personally would view a spot start here and there to be exciting, strategic, and really with no real actual risk to Ohtani.
 

What exactly is the big risk?  Are you talking about his arm or the insane hazard of catching fly balls?

Maybe move Richards to a middle relief role since he's probably the best 4 inning pitcher in the game.

I agree. Simmons gets on base and can run too.

for sure, but having simmons behind him would be just as good at this point. Simmons offense is really stepped up lately and he seems like the perfect number 2. Similar to Torii a few seasons ago.

If Kinsler continues to suck at the bottom of the order, he needs to get the Calhoun treatment and get replaced by Fletcher.
