#Angels reliever Keynan Middleton (elbow) is beginning a rehab assignment at SLC tonight. He is expected to rejoin the Angels sometime this week.

1. I love that Blash is still in the lineup. Give this man as much of a shot at winning the job as we gave Calhoun at losing it.

2. Akeel Morris is not useless. He's actually a very good reliever, but we aren't throwing him into sink or swim situations just yet. You shouldn't ever have to do that with a rookie unless it's clear they can dominate from day one (K-Rod, hopefully Justin Anderson).

I agree. I think at this point I would swap Cozart and Kinsler in the lineup and let him get right. That formula worked well in the beginning of the season so why not try it again. Hell I might even bat him 9th.

I'm wondering if we hear today that Calhoun is sent down to work on his game. Per fletcher they have until the end of today to send him down without his consent.

Than either demote him while you still can or give him a 10 day DL stint.  Can't have him take a spot on 25 man roster

I think if Blash BLASHT's off in this game we may see Kole go down to AAA to work on his swing.

That's probably the best thing for him at this point. I don't think the at bats he's getting at this point are doing enough for him to get him out of the funk. He's completely lost out there.

That would be really impressive, seeing as how he'd have to foul it behind him and to the right.

It's too bad Marte can't play a decent right field...He's probably the most deserving of those at bats on the 40 man roster

Calhoun has played himself out of the starting lineup, most likely. A defensive replacement late in games, now.

There's no way they're giving up on Calhoun entirely in May.

He'll get maybe a week off then get plenty more chances throughout the season
