Arte and Autry revered here, but both are never realized that throwing premium money on past-their-prime or soon-to-be-past their prime players is folly.

what makes u think he was insured?  If there's a company stupid enough to insure him in the first place then it's likely his insurance rates were through the roof anyways.

Not worth a Lifetime-like, 50 post argument about it, but the press conference beer mention, and subsequent lowering of beer prices a couple sheckles, was one of the greatest owner-marketing moves of this century, and claimed a LOT of goodwill among fans.
