Hufflepuff reacted to Taylor in Gameday Thread: Angels vs A's (7/27/20)
Yes, Trout and Ohtani (the hitter) are our team's problems.

Not sure what else they do though. He's a big part of this teams future and they need him to regain his form by making these starts. He's not gonna get back on track by throwing side sessions.

This might not be the time to be letting him regain his old form. Pretty much just took an L to see that he's not ready.

This was a proposed trade on bleacher report, not one I made up.

What is shark’s Flu Ball rate?
He is effective as long as he doesn’t tissue too many walks.

Hufflepuff reacted to T.G. in Gameday thread, 3/2/20 Angels@Cubs
Bases loaded, no outs... Cam Blowsitagain... in mid-season form.

Hufflepuff reacted to VariousCrap in Do the Angels have more pitching problems...
I remember someone posting an article last year that showed when the farm system is included, the Angels were in the middle of the pack. When you looked at only the major league pitchers, the Angels were towards the top.
The reality is, TJ surgery is the new normal. As long as the league mainly focuses on pitchers that throw 95+ mph, this trend will continue. If the average fastball was 88-90 mph, there wouldn't be as many of these surgeries.

Hufflepuff reacted to tdawg87 in It’s not about “impatience” if the original deal wasn’t on the table anymore.
If the original deal wasn't on the table, that's Eppler's job to deal with. Why is the owner stepping on his toes?
Maybe that's not what happened, but it sure as hell seems like it at this point.

Hufflepuff got a reaction from ettin in Pederson/Stripling deal is DEAD. MOVE ON.
people on twitter are saying:
LAD gets: Taylor Ward and Rengifo
LAA gets: Stripling, Pederson, and Andy Pages
Sometimes rumors have some truth in them

Hufflepuff reacted to Justin in Pederson/Stripling deal is DEAD. MOVE ON.
Where does Baldoquin fit in all this?
-
Hufflepuff reacted to SlappyUtilityMIF in Joc Pederson, Mike Trout, Justin Upton & Jo Adell
I'm more into the flexibility lineup. I spread and balance it out.
1. Fletcher/LaStella -2B
2. Pederson/Goodwin - RF
3. Trout - CF
4. Ohtani/Pederson - DH
5. Rendon - 3B
6. Upton - LF
7. Pujols/Walsh - 1B
8. Simba - SS
9. Castro/Stassi - C
When they promote Adell they either place him in the 2 hole in front of Trout or slide him down to 8th and everyone moves up a slot.

Hufflepuff reacted to Condor1984 in Rate Eppler's Offseason
Eppler can only bring in people that want to come or people that other people agree to send. Three upside SPs, plus a swing SP, plus an Allstar 3b, plus a plus RFer, plus some RP help...……..he did a lot with what he had to work with without having to sacrifice much more than money.
A+

Hufflepuff reacted to kevinb in Rate Eppler's Offseason
After these latest moves. I’d like to say his offseason is an A. He’s upgraded the offense. He’s upgraded the starting pitching. I don’t know why but I still don’t think he’s done. I think he has one or two more moves before the season starts

Hufflepuff reacted to BackUpTheTruck in Rate Eppler's Offseason
After the Pederson/Stripling trade, Eppler gets an A+ this off-season.
Best off-season to date for Eppler.

Hufflepuff reacted to totdprods in Not done?
The best thing about this trade is it doesn’t have any sort of filter like ‘win now’ or a ‘good for one year’ deal applied to it.
It’s a very versatile trade.
I don’t think it is, at this time, part of some other move or series of moves.
It’s win now in a sense that Pederson is in his walk year and is a clear upgrade in RF over what we had in Goodwin and arguably over what we had prior in Calhoun, and likely even better than what we could have hoped for from a rookie Adell even. It does give Eppler flexibility to deal an OF prospect for a frontline arm mid-season. He could be an extension candidate. He could be flipped in July for a decent piece - maybe another pending FA like Stroman or Ray or anyone else who could come available - and this could clear a path for Adell.
Stripling has years of control and can work different roles.
Pages could replace Deveaux or Knowles in a deal, either this one or one to come later in the year, or not at all.
It gives Eppler a ton of flexibility to work with as the reason progresses.

Hufflepuff reacted to ukyah in Pederson/Stripling deal is DEAD. MOVE ON.
i would be ok if they included adams in the deal to get it done with maeda. the addition of maeda, stripling, pederson can really help this team this year. i could get over losing adams for that opportunity. also, both pitchers have very nice costs connected to them.

I would not put any stock into that account. The Tweet right before it is thanking the Athletic for offering to buy them out, LOL.
