i'm all for supporting people with problems.
unfortunately however, therre are certain problems that can kill when not addressed in a serious manner.
support of people that wont help themselves is a disease process in itself.
i wish mr. hamilton good luck.

I feel bad for his family, but in no way do I feel bad for Hamilton. This guy has been given every opportunity to figure it out, millions of dollars, and support from everywhere and everyone. At some point, man up and figure it out. It is sad for him, but no one should feel bad for the guy.

AngelsFanSince86 reacted to Hollyw00d in Josh Hamilton meets with MLB officials about a disciplinary issue
I hate to say it, but it was pretty irresponsible for him to have a large family.
Dude can't even go anywhere without a babysitter following him around and giving him an allowance. He can barely take care of himself, and can't deal with the responsibility of being a good parent.
I feel bad for his kids too.

Because that's what kept him out of trouble in Texas.
Why give the guy a $125 million contract and remove his crutches so to speak in a new environment with new people? That seems really stupid on Moreno's part.

first thought is wondering what it would take for the Angels to be able to void his contract.

AngelsFanSince86 reacted to NrM in 2B battle during ST
Iannetta proved he was capable of hitting away from Coors during his time with the rockies.
Mainly because he's very patient and draws a lot of walks, which isn't dependent on the park he plays in.
Rutledge is the prototypical example of a guy's numbers being inflated by playing in Coors.

AngelsFanSince86 reacted to ukyah in James Shields
this plainly implies that the mariners are a better team than the angels. in the statement that if their is a gap, the angels are the ones that need to narrow it. jeez, from what i remember the angels had the best mlb record in the regular season last year. i guess we've really taken a few steps back.

AngelsFanSince86 reacted to Vegas Halo Fan in MLB trying to pick up pace of play
The younger generation, unlike some of us oldies, have grown up with the NFL supplanting MLB as the national pastime. Constant action, violent hits, all of it working perfectly with a generation used to instant gratification and constant entertainment.

AngelsFanSince86 got a reaction from Tank in The new MLB commissioner is awesome
I doubt they will ever get rid of the DH. Baseball has been going down in ratings in recent years and I don't think taking away offense is going to help that. Offense is already deficient in the post-steroid era. Last years WS had two NL style teams going against each other and was the lowest rated 7 game series in history. I would be for adding the DH to the NL, but I know most NL fans would be up in arms about it.
