God this commentary is fucking weird...

Beyond just his birth date issues, having 7 surgeries in an 8 year period ages a person as well. We didn't even get the best of Pujols any given year because of foot and knee surgeries. Even if he started with the Angels at 34 instead of 32, his career path was closer to Aaron, Mays, Robinson or Musial, players that were very productive to their age 40 season. The downward spiral was the erosion of his lower body through injury, surgery and not as much what year he was born. 

Why can't it pee elsewhere?

Is this where we're at? Giving up on this offseason and looking ahead? For every year since 2016 I'm yelling for a front line SP.

I was so pissed off about losing out on Cole, that when we signed Rendon, I didnt really care. Kind of didnt all year.
But it kind of hit me the other day. He truly is the first good 3B since Figgins. (Glaus for some people). MVP candidate at a spot where good ones arent usually available.... usually locked up before they can hit the market.
Still would have preferred Cole. But looking back, Im glad we jumped on the opportunity when it was there.

Ive always kind of shrugged my shoulders at the steroid thing. Figured everyone was doing it... and guys in the past were using amphetamines, spitballs, blah blah blah

Last few days ive been binging on some youtube channel called baseball doesnt exist, or something like that. A few of the vids went in depth about guys like arod, canseco, etc. And what their numbers were before and after juicing. Pretty eye opening. 
I didnt realize arod was using since high school.... thinking about that, you really have to wonder what they really would have been. At bare minimum, they wouldnt be legends
I agree that guys like bonds were likely in before they used. But maybe thats more of a rare occurrence than the rule. And its hard not to judge them against guys like aaron, when the roid generation closes in on them.

The Angels are always the other team, mean to drive the price up.  I don't think anyone seriously wants to come here.

I remember a story of his when he was with the Cubs.  They were completely out of it at the end of the season and the manager said they should be playing for any records they could get.  In the game, Jay had already hit a triple and a home run, and his next at bat he slowed down and took a double even though he could have got another triple.
