Like @Capital_Davesaid…time is getting tight for prime Trout/Ohtani. They gotta at least try to go for it if not this year, next.

I have to admit, I'm in the minority on this one.  I voted yes.
The reason is because I feel like the Angels really have to go for it these next few years, including this year.  With Trout and Ohtani both healthy in August/September, I think we'll have a dangerous team, especially if we can trade for a few good starters to pair with Sandoval, Ohtani, and (I hope) Suarez.
I just don't think we can "wait til next year" again because there won't be many next years where we get prime Trout and Ohtani.  Hell, I'm not sure I'd put money on likely getting *one* more year of prime two-way Ohtani... I just really fear that he's going to flame out as a two way player, given the physical demands of it.  There's an Icarus feel to this season...
Let Bachman be Garrett Crochet this fall (or maybe even K-Rod circa 2002).

I don't believe it.  Every front office that Minasian has ever worked for has picked a pitcher with their first round pick.  That, combined with the Angels' obvious pitching needs, convinces me that whoever we pick will be a pitcher and not a position player.

Was minding my own business attending a spousal work-mandated Indie League baseball matchup between the Lexington Legends and the Gastonia Honey Hunters, and guess who steps up to the plate?
(They define "Legends" a little differently here in Lexington.)
Turns out, the key to unlocking his potential was pitting him against sub-single-A-level Atlantic League pitching.  Batting .421/.540/.684 over 38 ABs.

Think about the mental toughness needed to overcome not just one but two bullshit balks, a run-scoring wild pitch K, as well as the incredible squeeze this home plate ump is putting on him.  Amazing he gave up just two runs there.  So impressive.

@Jeff Fletcher not sure if you're crowd-sourcing questions, but there's mine:
About a year ago, it was reported that the Angels were aggressively furloughing employees in Baseball Operations, more so than other teams.  Have the Angels struggled to staff back up, and as you staff back up are you (Perry) changing the structure of the Angels staffing, particularly in analytics and scouting?
