Sully151 got a reaction from AngelsLakersFan in Arte's going to love this article...
Could have been worse. It could have been about Hamilton.

I liked Hudler and his energy. Phys? Take him or leave him.

Sully151 got a reaction from AZMike in Harper injured
If only they put some sort of warning system on the field to let the fielders know they were close to the wall.
Hope the guy is ok.

Man, I can't believe I missed it. It's like Haley's Comet.

Sully151 got a reaction from 2002_halos_II in Trade Proposal: Trumbo To SD for Denorfia and Cashner
Negative ghostrider.
I hope the front office is smart enough to just let this season be what it has become and not make emergency trades that will hurt them in the long run.
Trumbo is a legit power hitter that has shown he is a student of the game too. He makes adjustments, watches tape, seems to learn from his at bats and shows passion for the game, his performance and the team. Why would we want to trade that away?
I wish our super stars did that.
Trumbo, Trout and Borjous are the three guys this team should be built around, I am tired of two of the three being constantly brought up as trade bait.

Wrong they haven't made the playoffs sine the Napoli trade.
Mathis lazy year also resulted in no playoffs

Sully151 got a reaction from LightTheHalo in Trout's WAR
Man, I can't wait until we sign a 33 year old Harper to an 8 year deal.
Trout looks to be coming around a but and that is good news for us.

Sully151 got a reaction from WhatUSaid in How do you fix this team?
Step 1- Sign The Beard. He will certainly add some character to this team (they need some). I am not sure when he will be ready, but a pen with a healthy Wilson and Madson sure looks a lot better than what we have now. This is all dependent on their health though. Situational Closer by committee.
Step 2- Fire Butcher. He has not done anything for this staff. They need a pitching coach that can lead, inspire and light a fire under the but of thie kids and Vets. Percy anyone? I am not sure if he would be interested or good, if not, someone else then.
Step 3- Send Eppard back to AAA. I think he is a good coach and teacher, but it seems to me that the entire hitting philosophy is flawed. Maybe this comes from Scioscia. I would love to see Salmon as a batting coach, but I am sure there are other good options.
Step 4- Move Trout back to the Lead-off spot and put Hamilton in the two hole. with Trout (and in later innings Bourjos) hopefully on base with the threat to steal and Pujols batting behind him, Hamilton should see more fast balls.
Step 5- Put Scioscia on a super short leash and start looking for a new manager just in case.

I wish I could feel that way. We're supposed to be competing with the good team, as in being one of them. We aren't even making it close. This team looks horrible right now. Can't pitch, can't get situational hits, fielding is below average, Trout is regressing big-time...I can't hang my hat on hoping this team finds some life against the "bad" teams. Even those teams are doing better than us.

It never helps that your #4 hitter is striking out twice a game and providing no power.

Bourjos is looking good. Batting over 300, good defense. That throw to third was a rocket.

If only she had a place to bring this story to the greater public. Something like a round table discussion on a late night talk show where the round table guests talk about things that have happened in their lives and such. I bet if it made it to TV, Arte might take notice. His team is already pretty embarrassing, I would hate for the fan experience at his stadium to become that too.

Sully151 got a reaction from Brian Ilten in Sweet strike three call to end the Rangers game
Why are we arguing balls and strikes for a Rangers-Rays game with a couple of Ranger fans on an Angels Board?
Of course the Texas fans are going to call it a strike and the rest of the world, including the ump that called it, knows it wasn't.
