I am not suggesting that he is.  Trout is a consummate professional and probably let it be a by gone within moments of the event and certainly by the time they were team mates on AL all star teams.  As I said... most memorable moment from my view.

Witnessing history tonight was amazing. Mike F'in Trout! We are very fortunate to see a player like him play everyday.

Kendrick was a 5+ WAR player last year. If we can't get someone of at least Chen's caliber in return, we ought to hold onto him.

So only two Angels made the final three at each position, and they aren't the two you would assume. If you told me two I would guess Aybar and Trout, nope. Albert (which I agree with) and Calhoun. In my opinion the two most deserving are Aybar and Albert. My guess is we will have zero winners.

You are as good as your next days starter. Royals will be fine. The Angels, Tigers and Orioles already embarrassed the AL.

The turning point was the Angels celebrating three weeks ago, and then letting up on the gas and limping into the postseason

The headache quote, at least here, comes from hitting the wall in the 5th......doesn't look that bad in this article...

Josh Hamilton struggles in return to Angels’ lineup … Josh Hamilton, who played in only one of the Angels’ last 23 regular-season games due to ailments in his right shoulder and right side, went 0-for-4 in the Angels’ 3-2, 11-inning loss in Game 1 of the American League Division Series on Thursday night.
He lined out to the left side of the infield in the third, grounded out to second base in his next two plate appearance and struck out swinging in the ninth, failing to come through with one out and a runner on second in his last two at-bats. Angels manager Mike Scioscia batted Hamilton seventh, because he figured he’d be rusty after so much time off.
    He was.
“The game was obviously moving a little fast,” Hamilton said. “I went back and looked at a couple of at-bats and I was actually starting to load too early. So, tomorrow, try to slow it down even more.”
Hamilton banged up against the left-field fence while catching Salvador Perez‘s fifth-inning fly ball, but all he came away with was “a headache.” He expects his legs to be sore when he wakes up on Friday, but he’s also expected to be back in the lineup against Yordano Ventura and his triple-digit fastball.
“Physically I feel good,” Hamilton said. “I’ll be a little sore tomorrow. It’s been a while since I played nine innings. But I’ll come in, get treatment, things like that, and be ready for tomorrow.”

Yeah, these games haven't really meant anything (except HFA), but I certainly did not want them to be this cold going into the playoffs.

    Color me a little concerned.

    Awesome little tidbit about Shoey:

He lowered his ERA on the season to 3.04 and got his sixteenth win. That is the most wins by a non-drafted pitcher subject to the draft EVER in baseball history in the 48 seasons of a draft.

It sucks that the rotation is set up to where CJ pitches after they have their bullpen game. Dude's the last guy you'd want pitching after having to use all those relievers

Bike riders aren't any more obnoxious than car drivers. The difference is obnoxious car drivers maim and kill bike riders. I can't remember ever hearing of a bike rider seriously injuring a car driver.

As far as traffic laws, I'll bet the percentage of bike riders following them carefully is as high as the percentage of car drivers who do.

Nitpicking, but 20-30 on a sidewalk with a bike - haven't seen this either. Do you guys know how tough it is to ride 20+ mph on a bike.

    Thats pretty cool
Another interesting tidbit....hes like 2cd in runs scored...and about the same in rbi....leading in either would be pretty impressive from the 2 hole....leading both?....let that sink in for a minute. That would mean hes driven in more than any 3/4 hitter, and scored more than any leadoff guy....
If he leads the league in runs scored it will be his 3rd straight year....i read somewhere mantle or someone like that was the last to do that. (Though henderson makes more sense). If anyone is good at research and correct me, thanks in advance

Hey Guys.  This is David, Matt's Dad.  Thank you for the kind words and the laughs.  I have been on the board for quite some time, but do not write too many comments. Just to clear a couple of things up.  My wife, Karen, Matt's Mom does not have a beard.  HaHa  I do not have a full beard now but did a few years ago. Just a mustache and goatee now.  Thanks for supporting Matt.  He is a great young man who has worked his butt off to get to where he is at.  I am so glad he was finally given the chance to help this team.  We are so blessed that he has performed the way he has.  He will give you every thing he has each time he pitches.  I hope it continues. GO ANGELS!
