My name it's Patrick (known as PJ) to my brother Lou. My family and I have been following this since it was first posted and even created accounts. Most know by now that Lou passed peacefully in his sleep on August 8th at approximately 5pm while The Ocho was on TV (c'mon, you know he loved all sports even the weird ones, like Cricket). He constantly bragged about AngelsWin, all the fun times he had here and the trips to watch The Halos play, home and away with you guys. You all were his extended family and loved every minute he spent on here. To see him spend his last several days reading your posts and thoughts about him brought a smile (and tears) to his face, as it did his brothers and sister. All of us have also been keeping up with this post and you will never know how much we appreciate the love, memories, thoughts and especially the pictures you have shared. Our greatest memory with him was being in the front row at the left field foul pole for the Angels 2002 World Series win. All of us hugging and crying tears of joy at the site we thought we would never see. Close 2nd was Barry Bonds flipping us off during the game because Lou kept leading our entire section in a "sterrrroooooids!" chant while we were jamming a Thunderstick into our arms. Honor him by keeping his memory and stories alive. Celebrate his life. "LouDogg" was a smartass until the end and continued to make us laugh until his last breath.

I’m incredibly thankful for this community and super blessed to have been able to keep it going for almost 20-years now. The friendships & memories from here is priceless.

Don’t be silly.  Come on don’t you get it?  The Angels should have traded Moustakas, Fletcher, Wallach and Rendon’s contract for like 4 or 5 of these guys:

The St. Louis Cardinals were 10.5 games back in the Wildcard on August 25.
They won the wildcard.
I'm not saying that's going to happen to the Angels, but you can't give up now. 
Especially when you got Trout, Neto, O'Hoppe and a few others coming back soon! 

I think 63 would be fun to watch Yankees fans lose their shit. 

I'm just happy someone cares enough to return to the field.

I'm not a big Arte fan, but I doubt the following is Arte's fault:
He goes for Gerrit Cole,  but Cole a Yankees fan growing up goes to New York.
He pivots and signs the best free agent bat on the market in Anthony Rendon coming off a World Series MVP and one of the more consistent bats in MLB ahead of signing with the Angels.
Rendon becomes the most injury prone player that I've seen in Angels history, though a lot of those injuries were not necessarily his fault. 
Arte had nothing to do with the way the Angels have been unable to stay healthy this season. Could be a totally different story if their key guys stay relatively healthy this season. 

That would be a huge mistake. He's one of the best GMs we've had in a long time. 

It's like building up your army for war and then have a Cholera epidemic run through them.

I actually think this carries 66% of the weight of Ohtani’s decision…
 
He’s a different cat… I actually think he values his legacy - as “the man”… as a player who played for a single franchise…
 
He’s rebuffed the Doyers once - and backtracking Kershaw’s butt-hurt comments at the time seems unlikely…
 
The Giants had a ton of money to spend last year, but were unsuccessful - I see them as the front runner if he leaves…
 
Seattle is a distant second… because… it’s freaking Seattle…!
 
 I won’t be surprised at all if he resigns with the Angels (in spite of Arte)…. And I won’t be surprised if he leaves (nor could I blame him)… but if he does leave, I think it’s a two horse race between the Giants and Mariners…
 
I’m hoping Trout returns in the next couple of days and he and Ohtani go on a beast-mode playoff run… but in the more probable likelihood that doesn’t happen - Minasian has done his part… 
 
And I’ll wish Ohtani nothing but the best…
