    The most frustrated I've been in an offseason was before the 2007 season, when Arte promised a "big bat" and the team ended up with GMJ. 
    The talk this offseason about the Angels having money to spend, and almost every credible source assuming the Angels were going to land Cole... I'm getting depressed just thinking about the possibility of not ending up with any of the top-tier free agent pitchers. If that happens, I would definitely support your plan of building from within and not overpaying for Ryu or MadBum. Those strike me as the pitching equivalent of GMJ. 
    BUT... that means yet another season watching Trout's prime go by while we all pray things break the right way. Which is also depressing.

    Just go back to this jersey top... it's considerably better than anything else we've ever worn.

    The modern font is just an early 2000's take on this font anyway. They are similar enough that most people probably don't notice but this one is a more timeless look.

    I believe you would win that bet.  The sad thing is those projected WHIPs would be a huge improvement for the Angels.  Yikes!

    Here’s a wild idea...
    Skaggs, Cozart, and a prospect or two for Gray and Andujar, maybe Betances or another prospect? Angels sign another SP (Keuchel? Kikuchi?) or swing a trade with guys like Ward for another SP

    Yeah, I don't know that it isn't a mistake to keep from committing to a guy like Ward and let him either play himself out of MLB or prove he's ready.  From what I've heard he's been hitting the cages and working with people pretty hard all off-season.
