It is an MLB demand not to upstage the playoffs or World Series with an announcement. However there will be time between the playoffs and World Series where they can fit it in. Just not during the dates games are being played.

I really don’t think the Angels hiring Joe Maddon “upstages” a playoff series.  I am not being argumentative, I am being realistic.  If the Angels hiring a manager “upstages” a playoff series, then baseball has a major, major problem with their product.
