eligrba got a reaction from Taylor in Jo Adell’s Future
I think Nevin prefers to play Adell at times when he can have some success. Today is probably not that day because of who is pitching.
Sam is fishing for drama.

Bereavement isn't always an emergency.
My condolences to Kurt and his Family.

Went ahead and made your statement a bit more correct.

Eligrba agrees with the weirdness of a third person reference.

José Suárez said his new changeup came from Matt Wise. Everyone chooses to ignore that.

The Angels would get someone from Pendelton that only knows Taps.

Another "good for the clubhouse guy" that Minasian likes.
Next winter were gonna focus on "good for the community guys" or something like that.
"That guys really funny, let's sign him. Be good for long flights and rain delays"

Ohtani hit the game winning home run Monday and the game winning home run tonight. All Judge did was inflate his stats.

I also should say that Herget is quite an interesting study. A throwback type, both in looks and form. In the old days he'd be called 'crafty.' Or a 'thinking man's pitcher.' No fastball to speak of, but using location, a mix of pitches with movement and a funky delivery. You always think he's a pitch away from trouble but he has been finding ways to get out of jams. And he's not the type of pitcher that hitters are used to. I'm not sure how high his ceiling is, but seems like a useful guy to have around.

I wish it was an original. But I think failo called him that and I thought it was perfect. So slugger it is. Where as I “add nothing” to this forum, he adds comic relief.

eligrba got a reaction from stormngt in AngelsWin Today: The Lineup: Offseason plans and 2023 Outlook
I don't understand why having the team for sale would prevent the Angels from making some smart moves at this time. Any potential buyers willing to spend over a couple of billion dollars aren't looking to "flip" the Angels. Potential buyers, I assume, are looking at such an investment with long term goals. Having a solid foundation, in my mind, wouldn't interfere with potential buyers. I can see an attempt by the Angels to secure Ohtani with either a long term deal or a one year deal to avoid arbitration. I can also see the Angels making a few other signings for shorter contracts hoping to secure better performances in some crucial positions. I think it will be a normal off season with the typical projected payroll.

In todays game, Matt V or Bobby V mentioned that if you throw out that opening series against the Astro's, the pitching staff's ERA is 2.98. For the past half decade we would be lucky to have one pitcher with an ERA that low.
