So I am not a country music guy, but I took my wife to go see Blake Shelton last night at the new Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert. Have to admit, the guy put on a really good show and the venue was really awesome. I didn’t realize the guy had that many songs. Played for 2 hours straight and he was really good.

Finally, Long Beach State has come back to the NCAAT!
And they are playing pretty well @Angel Oracle. Had it tied late in the first half.

One thing is for certain, MLB is not going to let it's golden boy nor it's favorite franchise go up in flames without a serious fight.
Ohtani is lucky he isn't on the Angels. He'd have been Bauered by now.
If Shohei thought the media was relentless before this, he’s going to get a major dose of unrelenting media attention when he gets home from South Korea.

Okay, the story Ohtani's lawyers are proposing is pure fiction. Here is where the timeline burns them. First it was reported Ohtani was paying off Ippei's gambling debt.
But that is considered a gift and as such it would have to be reported to the IRS by both Ohtani and Ippei and would create a tax burden. If either hadn't reported gambling winnings or debts along with the gift then they are in violation of tax laws.
If either reports gambling winnings or losses, MLB gets involved which would threaten Ohtani's contract and MLB career.
The money came from Ohtani's account which is supervised by his accountant. There is no way these withdrawals could have occurred without Ohtani's accountant being aware and notifing his client.
So Ohtani's lawyer fabricated a story of bank theft, which is nearly impossible. The only real plausible situation is Ohtani was betting and using Ippei to make the transactions thinking it wouldn't be traced back. And I am sure the FBI knows this along with the IRS.
Ippei should have gotten a better lawyer before falling on a sword. Supplying a story that will be proved a lie by the FBI and IRS is going to cost him prison time either way. Bank fraud or lying to cover Ohtani's gambling still lands him in jail. Unless he takes a plea bargin.
I cant wait to see this on Netflix.

Rendon has hit fewer HR's with the Angels from 2020-2023 (22) than he did in any of the previous three seasons with the Nationals (24 lowest)
And to think one of those 22 home runs was hit left handed in a blow out game at the Big A.

Someone is spoiled. You brought his bed to the beach.
The wife and I were actually doing a BBQ/bonfire day at Doheny Beach and he tags along with us. He loves the beach. Chasing the seagulls really wears him out.
PS- yes @gotbeerhe IS pretty spoiled

Lots to like about this game. Neto, Hicks, Drury and even Rendon and Adell added offense today.
Angels hit 5-10 with runners in scoring position, which is way better than it has been.
Detmers pitched well after a shaky first inning and if Suarez wouldn’t have shit the bed his first inning, his line score after that inning was solid.
Nice to break to losing slide.

Jose Suarez is not fooling anybody and now just drilled a hitter.

I missed what happened to Rengifo, but sounds like hamstring issue? Not good, given how thin the Angels already are in middle IF/3B.
Came out of the box on a possible double play ground ball and immediately pulled up lame. Grabbed his hamstring and Washington came out and took him out of the game.
