JustATroutFan got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Mariners (8/31/2020)
I would take a hitter with a .850 OPS with an OBP of .400 over a hitter with an .850 OPS with an OBP of .350. Both still solid hitters but OBP leads to more run scoring chances.

Fair enough. I thought he was 0-3 with 2 walks.

Sports leagues continuing to defend criminals like this chump Blake, who is a rapist.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from Chuck in Trout strikeouts looking?
Swing the damn bat! Two more strikeouts tonight on strike three that were looking! Oh well, never really felt like this season was a real season anyways.

OBP isn't and Trout's is .339.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Will Eppler be employed by the Angels next season ?
This team still has a problem with the starting pitching. So much that even a great pitching coach (Callaway) might not be able to fix.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Playing for Next Year and Beyond - Some Ideas
I won’t even judge Trout’s performance as a hitter until the next time we have a 162-game season. This season is just a whatever. 60 games, just stupid to judge players, especially with no fans in the stands to give them extra motivation and advantage.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from ScottT in Trout strikeouts looking?
I'm sick of this guy keep on taking strike three. He does that a lot. A lot of his strikeouts are a result of taking strike three. Yes, he's the best player in all of baseball but I would want the guy to be a little more aggressive swinging the bat, especially with Rendon now on the team. Over 40% of his strikeouts are looking this season. It's a 60-game season, so even judging players on that many games is stupid but Trout's struck out 21 times in 18 games, which would mean that he would be on pace for 189 K's if he were to appear in 162 games this season. Again, he's not a hitter who's going to strikeout over 180 times, even though he did in 2014 (outlier).

A correction should be made. Trout has struck out 20 times in 17 games this season.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from yk9001 in Gameday Thread: Mariners @ Angels (7/28/20): Angels 2020 Home Opener + Rendon's debut
Trout doesn't have a Trout-like season at the plate in 2020 means there should be a asterisk right next to it. He's not himself right now due to reasons. He's distracted by having to worry about his future child. I'll give him a pass for this season if he doesn't do well on the field.

That's the pitch that Trout has struggled against for most of his career. Years ago, that would not have been a strike. I imagine if they stop calling that a strike, Trout might go back to hitting in the 320's again.

JustATroutFan reacted to halofanfare in Angels players you will officially give up on if they don't perform this season?
After the underwhelming 1st year, I knew it was all downhill from there. He had his moments, but he's basically Vernon Wells 2.0 to me.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from fan_since79 in The Daniel Bard Story
Next season, he'll go to the Astros and post a 8-0 record with a 1.00 ERA and 0.70 WHIP with 100 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched.

JustATroutFan got a reaction from Taylor in Christian Yelich, not Mike Trout, is MLB's best player -- and the numbers show it
Yelich wasn't even better than Trout as a hitter last season, so how is he the best player in baseball? Trout's OPS+ in 2019 was 185 to Yelich's 179. I am guessing a stupid stat like batting average is somehow a reason for him thinking that.

Not as embarrassing as you being in existence.
