The fleeing California thing is overblown by certain media groups. It's true we had a net negative for the first time in 2021, but in the 10 years from 2010 to 2020, we gained 2.5 Million people. We're at 39.24 million people.
Charlotte, like Vegas is a fraction of the population of Los Angeles metro area, which again, to many of the pro Anaheim crowd, forget that they are a suburb of Los Angeles. Charlotte has a similar metro population of Vegas, at 2.6 M, to Vegas's 2.2. Los Angeles Metro has 19M.
People upset over the name change in 2005, forget that they were only the Anaheim Angels for 8 seasons, then the Los Angels Angels of Anaheim (Because of the lease requiring Anaheim in the name) for 11 seasons from 2005-2015 and have just been the Los Angeles Angels since 2016, meaning this is the 7th year of just Los Angeles in the name this time around and the 12th season overall. They were the California Angels because in 1966, when they moved to Anaheim there was space between the cities. Now, when you drive south from Downtown Los Angeles, the only way you even know you're in OC is that the freeway gets nicer. 
So let's stop with the Angels belong in Los Angeles proper, ok? Or the dumb name change puns.
 
 
 
 

I like them, but the Ducks bring in a FRACTION of the attendance the Angels do, and aren't the draw the Angels are. The Ducks alone, on their own, on that side of Anaheim will not draw the masses. Hockey simply isn't baseball, at least not in sunny states. 
Even if Angel Stadium changes to an event center, your just not going to have the surrounding infrastructure to create an entertainment district. 
The deal really is in the best interest of both sides. Arte won't get so much land, so located and cheap anywhere else in So-Cal and Anaheim will not find a single developer that can offer as much as the Angels, nor offer the necessary draw to build infrastructure, particularly if the Angels skip town. 
The Angels don't need Anaheim, but it remains the absolute best spot for them, by far. Comparatively, nowhere else makes as much sense. Anaheim though, they need the Angels.

None of the other guys who are in AA or AAA are on the 40, and they also have to get down to 13 pitchers (not including Ohtani) by the end of the month. That's a 8 man pen, and they had been running 9.
It was Iglesias/Tepera/Loup/Ortega/Bradley/Mayers/Barranclough/Barria/Warren with the rotation of Ohtani/Sisleth/Lorenzen/Sandoval/Syndergaard/Detmers.

Guys, do want to just get general admission tickets and watch from the bar inside the stadium on Saturday's game or should we get a block of tickets so we can all sit together somewhere?
 

Yeah, I live in KC. I'll probably be going to a couple games during that series. Might have some family flying out to attend as well.

He's been in the minors quite a bit longer than Sisleth (or Detmers for that matter), but it's been a successful 5 years in the minors. His stuff is not as good as Sisleth or Detmers, but he's not a bad pitcher.

One thing about Eppler. 
Eppler made a bunch of questionable free agent signings, but his draft picks and minor league moves look good. Perry has a bit better eye for pitching apparently with Detmers and Sisleth. 
Eppler's worst decision was the hiring of Brad Ausmus as manager. That set an improving team back two years. Ausmus was absolutely terrible and should've never gotten the job.

I'd been arguing that it made more sense to call up Diaz for the DH on Saturday, because this will require a 40-man move, unless someone else goes on the Covid IL. (And Duffy is coming off, too)...
But it looks like they're doing that too. That's why he was "sent down" after last Friday, because normally, you can't come back up for a number of days, unless you're replacing a guy on the injured list, but for DH, you can.
Are the reinforcements for the Covid IL guys exposed to waivers when they are sent off the 40-man? They clearly need a third catcher and it's likely to be Wallach, since Thaiss is also on the IL. (Not Sure if there is a Covid IL in the Minors).
Sending Fletcher to the 60-Day DL is likely for one of the moves, but the other (Bringing Duffy Back) is a question.
Then what happens when Stassi, Suzuki, and Thaiss (maybe) come back from the Covid IL?
They currently have 46 guys on the 40-man roster, with Criswell, Canning, Rodriguez all on the 60-Day DL, and Duffy, Stassi, Rojas, and Suzuki on the Covid IL. Thaiss is also possibly one the Covid IL as I mentioned above, but I don't know how it works.
It looks like then that they have one spot, unless I counted wrong, for Duffy to return, and then they'll likely put Fletcher (or maybe Quijada) on the 60-Day DL. Quijada has already been out over 30 days and oblique injuries are at least 7-8 weeks.

Other than the no hitter, which was obviously very special….. Rendon hitting that HR as a lefty, 1st as a switch hitter.  was out of this world. And Trout had two HR. Pretty cool 

There’s no reason we can’t discuss it, but the players shouldn’t and the broadcasters shouldn’t. I’d rather the reporters I follow on Twitter don’t either. Just saw what’s going on with out mentioning no hitter or perfect game.
