I think he detests the thought of emulating the Dodgers model of success. He's not going to pour resources into player development, because to do so is to admit that that Dodgers have done it right and he has done it wrong. Good owners don't care about stupid stuff like that, but Arte can't even wait a week on a trade with the Dodgers without taking it personally.

Maybe they should switch to Mastercard or American Express.

I really like the young talent in the game right now with Soto, Acuna, Tatis, Guerrero, Bichette. Eventually, one of them will take the title of greatest player in the game from Trout, likely two or three years from now, but Trout roll remain the greatest hitter in the game probably for another five.

God forbid that he end up as one of the best hitters of his generation.  Poor guy.

Dunno if he was cheating in late 2018 or 2019 (after they claimed they quit or not) - wouldn't surprise me - but dude is still a massive douche.

Aside from his current MLB contract I don't mind the service contract. It's off the books but he's a great baseball mind and can be valuable for the young kids. 

Not that it needs to be said, but if hes healthy, and even 70 percent of who he was pre tommy john (skill wise), this is huge. AJ said he has the stuff to be an ace. If hes "only" a solid 2, thats a huge add for us.

I agree about the switch to small ball being a bad move. And pulling Freese was a poor decision, but deciding after the fact that Sosh should have gone with Morin, Pestano or Grilli over Salas is just guessing. Morin and Grilli looked pretty bad down the stretch as well and Pestano was rarely used in high leverage situations. So easy to say what should have been done when you know the result.

I'll be watching with my daughter from home in Santa Barbara. She thinks I'm the worst Angels fan ever because I curse at every mistake. She is 16 and has every player's back when they make a mistake. She thinks I'm nuts.

TBS's coverage is almost like a parody but unfortunately it's real.
I've never seen announcers so disinterested in what was going on. That was an amazing game and not once did Ernie Johnson ever get excited about something. He had the same tone for the game winning hit that he did for a pointless grandout in the 4th inning.
Then on the post game they have Pedro Martinez as an analyst. He was completely unlistenable and at one point gave his analysis in Spanish. Have to get through to all those Spanish speaking fans in Kansas City.
Their whole coverage makes me want to lay down on the couch and take a nap. It's incredibly boring.

Agreed. The Angels lost game 7 of the 2002 WS because they chose to start an unproven rookie instead of a proven veteran. Still the worst decision Sosh has ever made.

In any playoff game id rather have Hamilton than Cron or Navarro.  No disrespect to either of those guys but we need a proven veteran bat in there that can drive the ball, not some guys fresh out of AAA.  The playoffs are a whole different story, and with Richards injury the only way were winning is if we hit.  Hamilton has to be a part of that.

Hamilton in the 7 spot? That's funny. I don't agree and doing so would have such a negative impact mentally on Hamilton. Watched some of his BP today and he was swing strong and freely. The 5 hole would be a better idea.

Trout will win and it won't be close.

Each day you hope it is the day he shakes off whatever is keeping him from playing like an MVP. That home run was pretty sweet.
