i'm telling you as a certainty they aren't giving up clevinger for a top prospect package that starts at #74. or whatever marsh is. clevinger is awesome, controlled, and underpaid. you're giving up your first born for that dude. it's why the dodgers/indians trade isn't done because the dodgers are holding out for the 3rd, etc. prospect which is what marsh would be at the top.
it's not happening. set your hopes elsewhere.
if the dodgers do trade for clevinger, it will be interesting to see if gavin lux is included in the deal. because i'm 100% certain they don't want to trade him.

I think he's still going to have issues staying healthy. The knee issues in particular. They open for no surgery, and instead he's just going to try and rest and rehab it. Maybe if he was 10 years younger that would work, but I'm just not sure Upton will stay on the field enough to be worth that 2-3 win swing.
And long story short, I think his absence from the lineup will open up an opportunity for Brandon Marsh later in the year. And once anyone sees what an outfield of Adell in LF, Trout in CF and Marsh in RF looks like, they'll never want to see another alignment.

im not going there at his point its way too early, but by waiting Epp has backed himself into a cornor and will be forced to overpay in any trades he working on as the FA options are basically gone.  

He's not saying anything else. "Well I like what we've added but we really, really do need more." That oughta work well with Boras. 
He's saying he's happy with what we have so he's perfectly fine walking away from trade/FA talks.

Lineup. Bullpen. Rotation. 
If you are in the top third in 2 and middle of the pack in one, you’re a playoff contender. If you are in the top 3rd in all 3, you are a WS contender. 
 
At this point I’d say the Angels are just trying to make sure they have an average rotation, and hoping for better in the lineup and bullpen. 

I think one good thing about the Bundy trade and Teheran signing, as unexciting as they were, make it more likely that the last other acquired will likely have to common qualities...
1. Upside. The Angels need it desperately. They probably need more than one, but that ship has since sailed.
2. It's unlikely the final pitcher will be acquired via trade, given the asking price and the fact that there remaining free agents won't cost a draft pick or prospects.
Which leads me to the true positive outcome here, which is that Griffin Canning and Patrick Sandoval are likely going to remain in the organization. Both have all sorts of potential, both are major league ready and both likely have a future brighter than that of a back end starter.
