My mom was one of those deadbeats. She came to this country with no education, no money, no husband, but worked her ass off in a hair salon for 14 hours a day to give us food and an apartment. And the free school lunches really helped her get by when she literally had nothing.

All the black Republicans have figured out they can make money from playing that role.

How can the answer be anything other than Arte, we have had several GMs and managers since the start of the Trout era and the same problems constantly exist.  It is clear that the issues ultimately come down to the organizational philosophy of how a MLB team should be ran and who is the one that dictates that?  Arte.

Or he has come to grips with his decline but believes he is still in the “Wow that is Albert Pujols” window where he gets automatic playing time because he is a legend.  And he wants to maximize that window to snatch some more dingers for his personal selfish statistical interests.

I agree it's bad optics, but it's bad because Pujols forced the Angels hand instead of retiring when it was obvious his time was up.

Why would they?
He practically stole a quarter billion dollars, and didn't do shit for the Angels.

I don’t have much sympathy for him. He fraudulently induced the Angels into giving him a large contract and then refused to walk away when it became clear he could no longer contribute. As a fan, I have been negatively impacted by the constraints his salary has put on payroll (and therefore player acquisition). 

Remember all the people that believed him that he would retire when it was time and not milk the contract for all it was worth.

Good riddance. What a terrible signing. .343 was his highest OBP with the Angels. I read something about him being pissed that he got benched against Yarbourogh. The nerve to get upset about that when you're that bad at baseball. Shocking.

He won't lose, but I will still vote for him just in case. Still, even I think he's kept schools, restaurants, etc, closed way too long.

Agreed. And as someone who did not and never would vote for Newsom, I don’t support his recall. The voters lawfully elected him and he hasn’t done anything warranting his early removal. This is sour grapes from the Republican minority.
