  1. None of these guys are hungry. Ever. If they were, they'd set up shop in front of a McDonald's with a sign saying "hungry, please buy me a burger." And in less than five minutes, they'd have enough food to last an entire day. Don't give these guys money, it just feeds the addiction.
  2. What bothers me almost as much as violent pit bulls is the this new pit bull civil rights movement. You know the people on your Facebook who are constantly posting links to pit bull adoption pages or stories about something sweet that a pit bull did?
  3. I like the idea of pursuing Martin, and Ianetta would be easy to trade. I say target Martin and a second tier starting pitcher. I'd also like to see them bring back Grilli if he can be had for something like 1/2.5. And maybe consider Andrew Miller.
  4. Yes. Poor lighting, and "security" consists of that guy from the Secure Horizons commercial trying to keep his balance driving around the parking lot on a moped that Gene Autry purchased in 1971.
  5. I think the West will be wide open next year. If the Angels can out a healthy product on the field, they ought to compete.
  6. I'd love to see the team trade for a guy like a Lorenzo Cain or Adam Eaton. Someone with great defense, speed, and who plays with intensity. Put him in left and move Hamilton to DH.
  7. I agree with you, these announcers are horrible.
  8. I have criticized scioscia at times this season. And I think he has done a pretty poor job these playoffs, but ultimately this falls on the team. K.C. is playing with an energy level and urgency that is stupifying the Angels. The Angels are clueless as to how to deal with it.
  9. I think the only three big decisions are (1) do you tender Freeze, (2) which second tier free agent starter do we get (think Peavey), and maybe (3) do we sign a leftie reliever.
  10. Yep. My guess is that this will be the least active off-season the team has had since the Stoneman regime.
  11. People are horrible. Just absolutely disguisting. I agree with these ladies about lax security. I never, ever see security patrolling the lot after the game, let alone having a presence. Get your checkbook out Arte.
  12. Jepsen has sucked for two months now. In light of his history, I have to wonder if this jepsen is the real jepsen, and the first four months of the season was an imposter.
  13. It really hurt getting beat by Vargas. A soft tossing leftie is the type of pitcher the Angels absolutely have to get to.
  14. Hard to dislike watching Albert play when you know that just three batters later you get to watch Hamilton.
  15. Scioscia wasn't very good tonight, but the blame rests entirely on Trout, Pujols, Kendrick, and Hamilton, all of whom should have just stayed home.
  16. Cespedes wasn't worth the 11 games the A's finished behind the Angels. If the A's had kept him, best case scenario would have been that the WC game would have been played in Oakland. Worst case scenario, they wouldn't have even made the WC game.
  17. Didn't realize he started Sunday. But he can still start Friday and Wednesday if need be.
  18. Ventura threw like 13 pitches last night. No reason he can't start game two, or even game one for that matter.
  19. I am guessing they will want to go to Ventura in game two so that they can bring him back for game five if necessary. We get Ventura and Shields three of the five games if need be, but that is better than facing Lester, Grey, and Samardizja in four of five games.
  20. It is rare that I read an article where I am actually glad the child died, but here I was relieved to see him taken out of his misery. If there is a God, the child is in a much better place. If not, at least his suffering is over. And not to offend anyone with religious beliefs, but how would a just God allow a child to endure this kind of pain? hard to believe in God when you hear about things like this.
  21. Amazing how bad he has been after being so solid for several years.
  22. Yes. I asked my wife the exact same question about a month ago. Though now that I am aware of the specific scent, I am noticing it on non-Latinos too.
  23. I hear you dude, I don't expect anyone to do that. I just wanted to know generally what types of things people like/ dislike about their jobs, etc. What career advice they have, mistakes they have made, things of that sort.
