would you trade Rengifo for Juan Soto? Or maybe Ronald Acuna?
Did you not see the part of "starting piece"?

I am down on Fletcher, but again, if he comes back and works counts he has value. If you disagree that is fine, but it ignores what he is capable of doing if his approach gets back to what it was.
My big question is did his approach change or was it forced to change because of how he was being pitched.
When I saw him play in Sac against the Rivercats, he was actually making decent contact and not your ordinary bloop no power at bats. I think he knows what he has to do.

They need to send Walsh down for Cabbage or Adell, keep Stefanic and send Velazquez down.

Amazing how these lineups look so much better without Squid and Padlo/Walsh

Looks like that error was Squid's moment to exit.

Time to start the trade season early.

Does Rengifo have much trade value? He’s not a prospect anymore but a possible trade candidate.
That ship has sailed.

Fletcher being on Bereavement list complicates it, but that's maybe why they brought up Velazquez instead of Soto, they were waiting until that is over, and they were hoping to give Urshela a chance. Now though, it's likely that both Rendon and Urshela need replacements to come up, and while they can get by for tonight without it, it's Rengifo at 3rd, Velazquez at SS, Drury at 2nd and Walsh at 1st, which is not ideal defensively.

They’ve been so much better of late, but I still think they’re skating on thin ice a little bit relying on Bachman, Soriano, and hopefully Joyce for a playoff push. Ideally they keep this up, but I hope Minasian snags another vet or two to round out the pen.
We will replace Loup & Herget with new relievers.

Perry is the best GM we've had since Stoneman.

Does he make scoop Ward makes to end inn? Neto was also upset but he walked away. Drury was upset but maybe now Ward gets some reps at 1B. I like emotion he showed pitch was a ball.
More that he put in a situation where we no longer had any available position players because of that.
-
At this point, if we win it all WITH Ohtani, I'll be ok if he leaves to another team. We got our championship.

Did he pitch tonight?
Yes sir, sure seems like he made all the right moves tonight.
Just a nitpick..but I was second guessing the pinch hit for Walsh with Renigfo in the 7th.(in hindsight of course)
I would of stayed with Walsh and the better defense in that situation.
Drury did do something errant in the next inning I believe, which could have been big!
Drury was definitely not the MVP. He actually put us in a position to lose the game because of making contact with the ump.

can we go to a game?
I'll be in LA twice the next couple months. Looks like there's a game Saturday 7/22 against the Pirates that I can probably make.

Nevin wins the MVP for this game.

Yeah, sure. There are 390 players in the Majors at any given time and you're shitting on the 15th best hitter because you think his hits aren't clutch or helping the team.
He is first in SLG%, second on the team in OBP, home runs and RBI but 5th in runs scored. Guess which is not in his control?
But other than that he is mediocre.
I'm glad I woke Ohtani up today with my comment.

Your brain is mediocre. Ohtani's hitting line is 287/.361/.513/.874 with a park adjusted OPS of 137.
His is ranked 15th in the AL for OPS which is all of .001 less than Judge at 14th.
LMAO! Maybe it is Blarg but when he gets hits it's not clutch. Almost like Trout. I think that is why it feels as though he is mediocre. When he gets a hit, it doesn't "help" us.
