If Arte is serious about winning this coming season he just has to cough up the money and get Cole plus other guys.   This guy can afford to lose money for a few years.  The Kansas City Royals sold for a billion dollars.  He’s not losing money building a winner.

I'm not going to argue with everything else, but this is really all you had to say. If the organization wants all 4 of those guys on the team, they'll find a way to make it happen. 
But I will argue one thing: Some players are simply worth more as currency than as contributors to the team on the field. If Adams takes a huge step forward in 2020, he becomes expendable. Do the Angels hold on to him because of everything you just said, or do they package him for something of need right now? Generally you want to hold on to your absolute best prospects, but when you start to gain wealth in the system, particularly at a specific position, guys become expendable. If this weren't the case no one would ever trade anyone. Ever.

That said, I think the question of when Ohtani plays would have to be made in conjunction with the front office due to the limited nature of when he is able to DH.
As far as whether Maddon has the authority to say, "Nah, Shohei is good to go. Billy is just coddling him." That's...not happening. 

Right.  But I think it’s entirely possibly you can get 3 elite years, 3 good years and a year or two of average years. 

Blast away?  Ok he matured as a pitcher.  If you need to pretend he is this good because of their offense, go right ahead.  I will live in the real world that shows he has dominant stuff that he has learned to harness with proper coaching.  
As far as turning 30 in year one of his deal, big fucking deal.  He is going into his year 29 season as he turns 30 late next year.  Power pitchers like him don’t age the same as guys who don’t throw 100.  Also look at the number of innings he has pitched, he hasn’t been overworked and thus should perform well into his 30’s.  
I fully understand I am responding to two guys who would prefer the Angels suck because it allows them to spout their negative bullshit, but Cole isn’t the place to do that.  
Stay in your lane and bitch about Arte and the city of Anaheim or whether or not aliens live amongst us.

with all due respect, this is such a ridiculous argument. Cole played in 33 games last year. Thaiss played in 53.  Who would you say had more if an influence on their team's season?
