  1. I thought he'd go for one more season, but it makes sense to hang them up. He wants to do the one-organization-your-entire-career thing, and we ain't gonna win anytime soon. So all you’re going to do it beat your body up even more. His HOF chances probably aren’t increased by playing another year or two as an oft-injured shell.

Great career! I remember watching him play during the rookie tournament vs the Sharks, he was heads and shoulders better than everyone on the ice.

glad to see Los Verdes on your list. it's a gorgeous course and fun to play, and my favorite course in this area.

the trump course is way overpriced - somewhere north of $300 to play. have not heard good things about it, either.

if price isn't a big deal, go the Pelican Hill in Newport. Beautiful course. Red Hawk in Temecula is also really nice (but also pricey). I'd play both of these long before I'd play trump's place.

    ^ agreed on Pelican Hill.

  3. Great memories of collecting cards.

I still have a sh*t ton of them at my parents house. Full sets, unopened boxes, tons in plastic/glass, tons of folders and sheets. Baseball, basketball, hockey and football.

I remember going to card shows at Anaheim Convention Center and doing pack wars. Or card shops to get the latest Beckett magazine. And doing heated trades with friends.

    Man those were great days.

    YK’s dad is up there.

One that has always stood out to me and I don’t think many people remember it, but probably close to 20 years ago by now on ESPN there was a dude that posted his personal travels to Brazil. The dude had the best stories of hookers, cocaine, getting in trouble in various areas, etc.

I was kind of new and that was one of the first times someone posted something other than baseball and it was captivating….and probably what opened the flood gates for me to tell the wild shit I was doing in my 20’s. It was just epic and even if the dude made it up, he deserved an award for creative writing.

Yeah Tad lived a wild life.
