I did a major remodel starting in late january (or early february).

My electric bill is usually about 90-100 a month.

The next 3 bills i got were about 200, then 400, and the newest one is 700!

 

I assumed at first it was because of the power tools, but the "heavy stuff" was done by mid february or so. The most used tool used was a tile saw. Nothing crazy.

And the heaviest construction was finished by the second bill... after that was mostly paint.

Has anyone else seen a huge spike?

House is one of my faves - especially those early seasons.

First time I watched a single episode (the pilot), I binged the entire first season. 

Watched the first couple episodes of Nurse Rached: meh, visually interesting but the writing just not there for me.
Watched some of the Queen's Gambit, through the episode with the kid cowboy chess player. It's ok. Doubt I'll finish. Visually nice though. 
Still on The Crown, at the point where Prince Charles meets Camilla. Great show, some episodes drag but very well done overall. 

Just finished Mad Men. Kind of petered off near the end, the last episode doing a bunch of perfect little bows. Pretty damn good show overall though.
