Going into last year, I felt we were finishing fourth....For this year, I want to see a competitive team, some significant baseball would be nice....Just want to some improvement over last year.

Oh yea...and some healthy players would be nice.

Bruins looked better than the UofA Wildcats last night.
Cats need their point guard back and Trier.
Tough when you have seven scholarship players suiting up everynight.

It would be tough to move a bullpen guy, when the bullpen is still not a strength.
I would rather wait on moving Cam, and seeing if someone steps up, like a Bailey and move them closer to the ASB.

Utley faded in the second half of last year.  As a platoon player, he was solid against RHP last year, with a pretty decent OBP.

Nice job on the re-sign.  Makes the pen that much stronger.

    Nate,
To improve, you have to move players.  LF has been a black hole for at least the last two years.  Trading a player who would not be in most clubs top 50 minor league players, for an everyday Left fielder with speed is a steal of a move.

    Here is the thing...
    In 503 innings, Alcantara has a 4.60 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP and a run average of 5.42
He is not going to be sniffing the big leagues very soon, if at all.

The school also honored one of the six remaining survivors, before the game and at half time.  The band formed an outline of the profile view of the U.S.S. Arizona.  Very cool night.
Saturday was my youngest son's birthday, so, during the third quarter, he was called up to the drum major podium to help out with the song list for the band.
Pretty special night all the way around.

I fired BofA, and opened a credit union checking/savings over 20 years ago.   So many fees no longer paid!
    Also reducing credit cards

Pretty much any of the "Big" banks, Wells, BofA, Chase have the same procedures....I used to work at BofA, one of the lower points in my life, and we had an employee who was a 'graduate' of one of the local re-hab houses.  The branch manager would make him drive to the re-hab house, bring in a few clients so we could open new accounts for these people.  Other times, I would be dealing with a death of a spouse, and when the customer left, I was hammered over why I didn't open a new account, or ensure they had a new credit card....Banks are pretty much the devil.  Worse than used car salesmen.

So, this past weekend, UofA played Grambing...the pre-game show included a recreation of the map of the USA...the first time these two bands created the USA map was during the first Superbowl:

My oldest son is one the UofA drum majors...

The other UofA Drum Major and the Grambling State Drum Majors watching a little practice.  The Grambling State drum majors did not lead the band, but are more like actors on the field.  Where as the UofA Drum Majors, lead the band during pre-game and half time shows.

The memory is still too real.  My wife was pregnant with our youngest son, he was born on the 17th of September.  We recently lost a close friend due to cancer. She was living in New York at the time of the attack and on the 10 year anniversary shared her story at a memorial event held on the court house plaza here in Prescott.  It was an amazing tearful story that brought forth some fantastic human spirit.
Our local high school held a 9/11 memorial, they honored those who lost their lives (placed small flags around the flag pole) and those who still put their lives in harms way (first responders).  The ceremony was closed by my son (the same one who was not yet born), who played taps.  Very cool ceremony.
