Skram got a reaction from The Ghost of Bob Starr in And in Fast Food News Part 2
It was a bit weird for me with Panera, I went there occasionally for a while, better than fast food, you know, that kind of thing. I think it was when I got one of their soups and my thought was "this is boil in a bag soup" and it just changed my whole attitude towards them. I have gone there a couple times since out of a lack of choice, and nothing has changed my opinion for the better.

He'd only need 2 orders.  It would cost him $50 though.

This feels like the most halo deal ever... a signing a guy that had a worse year than what we already have and paying him more than what we pay the guys we have.
I dont see the sense in this one at all... whatever it is they think they see i hope it works out as thats a large chunk to pay for what could be a downgrade.

No. He’s a two way player, that’s his thing.  The Angels didn’t force this on him. Swinging a bat doesn’t blow out your UCL, pitching does. He made 25 starts on average over 3 years and averaged less than 145 innings. He never started on short rest and only started once on 4 days rest and that was after a rain delay game where he pitched 30 pitches. Only once this year did he throw over 100 pitches in back to back games. He threw 111 pitches twice in a game this year, which were his most. He was never over worked as a pitcher. Ohtani isn’t a victim and the Angels aren’t the villain.

I am having a tough time today. I knew him best from 2005-2011ish. When you get married and have kids, your priorities change and you lose touch with some and with others, you correspond less and less frequently. You think you're doing the right thing - pouring your life into your wife and kids because "that's the way it goes." Everyone understands that, right? Well fuck man. While I didn't fully lose touch with him - we texted about superficial nonsense once in a while - I certainly wasn't there for him.
I will say this. Whatever perception people had of Brandon, I knew him as an aspirational, big-hearted soul who had the courage to be vulnerable in intimate (no gay) situations. He was a better friend to me than I was to him. I'm guessing many others would feel the same.

I’m incredibly thankful for this community and super blessed to have been able to keep it going for almost 20-years now. The friendships & memories from here is priceless.

That's really sad and then I saw that Lou died as well. My condolences to their families and to the long time posters here. I haven't posted here in a long time, I hope that everyone else I remember is doing ok. Take care of yourselves.

My name it's Patrick (known as PJ) to my brother Lou. My family and I have been following this since it was first posted and even created accounts. Most know by now that Lou passed peacefully in his sleep on August 8th at approximately 5pm while The Ocho was on TV (c'mon, you know he loved all sports even the weird ones, like Cricket). He constantly bragged about AngelsWin, all the fun times he had here and the trips to watch The Halos play, home and away with you guys. You all were his extended family and loved every minute he spent on here. To see him spend his last several days reading your posts and thoughts about him brought a smile (and tears) to his face, as it did his brothers and sister. All of us have also been keeping up with this post and you will never know how much we appreciate the love, memories, thoughts and especially the pictures you have shared. Our greatest memory with him was being in the front row at the left field foul pole for the Angels 2002 World Series win. All of us hugging and crying tears of joy at the site we thought we would never see. Close 2nd was Barry Bonds flipping us off during the game because Lou kept leading our entire section in a "sterrrroooooids!" chant while we were jamming a Thunderstick into our arms. Honor him by keeping his memory and stories alive. Celebrate his life. "LouDogg" was a smartass until the end and continued to make us laugh until his last breath.
    Sincerely,
    The Garcia Family
