I was at a celebrity charity bowling tournament sponsored by In N Out yesterday, and Salmon was one of the few celebrities I’ve heard of that were there.  Pretty amazing day where we raised over $300k for people with substance abuse issues.  Tim couldn’t have been a nicer guy, he didn’t seem annoyed when I thanked him for giving my son his wrist bands back in 97.  He asked follow up questions and gave the appearance he really cared, which is a nice humble thing for him to do.  He’s a big dude, huge hands.  

i couldn't stomach the discord in here anymore, so i had to take a break from the board, but i wanted to acknowledge that mike meant a great deal to this organization and while it is time for a change, he brought it out of the abyss. also, that press conference was really touching. i thought he handled himself very well.

Hope he gets an ovation somehow. It might be time to move on but it’s the end of an era and he’s been the manager for the majority of my lifetime. I’ll actually miss the guy

Deftones version is best

The Angels have limited the innings of every SP in the system -- I think you're seeing a new trend to have guys go shorter but go harder every time.   
Back in the early days of the Stoneman era the Angels used tandem starters, basically two SPs pitched every game.  The process then was to find the better guys and keep them as SPs and weed others out to the pen -- what's happening now is different  -- at least the motivation behind it might be.

A dream of mine is to sit in the photo well at an MLB game. On Saturday I received last minute notification that our family was being invited into a dugout suite at Angel Stadium. This being the closest thing I've ever had to that opportunity I took my camera.  We've been going through some brutal family stuff lately and this was a total godsend and a respite from the storm.

I shot all of these from behind the screen with a good camera, it's no where near the quality that sports photographers use, but it still did a decent job (Canon 60D with the stock lens for camera nerds)

At the game. Ran into a friend and got brought to a suite, got to meet Vlad finally. Man I loved that guy. Face of a badass run.

Marte is 100X worse than Valbuena. He brings nothing to this team. Please cut him already 

Really glad they traded Kinsler and cut Valbuena, only to replace them with Kaleb Cowart and Deck McGuire.
Ward, Fernandez, Rengifo, Thaiss are all in AAA like....
