@T.G. I know you were a big Torii Hunter fan. Thought you might like this. 
In an effort to pull some of our finest articles over time from our old blog to our website here I've started doing a AngelsWin Archives feature to bring back some fond memories from the team and players from yesteryear. 
I miss that dude. 

At the end of the day this is a sad development for Ohtani the person.  I can't imagine what is going through his mind right now.
We had a front row seat to the greatest baseball show ever and we watched something truly unique and special.  The word "awesome" is often over used, but that's exactly what Ohtani has been.
His quest to become the best baseball player on the planet was fun to watch. 
I have no idea what is next for him, but I wish him the best. He's truly a humble human being who handled the spotlight with the utmost class.  He never acted like he was bigger than the game. 
I hope he comes back from this in a huge way and continues to exceed expectations.  I know I wouldn't bet against him.

This team has endured a ridiculous and debilitating number of injuries...
 
However improbable: I'm still holding out hope for a Trout/Ohtani beast-mode run for the ages... to do that though, they need the complimentary bats in the lineup (see: O'Hoppe, Zeto, Mous, Drury, Rengifo, Renfroe)...
 
Unlike recent history - I don't think many of us would be surprised if the Halos ripped off 10-12 straight or 16/20... This lineup is capable of that...

Firing Perry would be so brain dead I can't even stand the thought of it.

I'm reminded of stories about despotic kings who constantly change their generals and such, because they're not happy with outcomes that ultimately have more to do with their leadership than those under them.
So my only response: It doesn't matter, at least as long as Arte has significant input. Let the baseball people do baseball. I have criticisms of Perry Minasian, but I'd like to see what he can do if given time and freedom. Let him decide on the manager, and see if he can turn things in the right direction.

Took everyone’s advice and got seats in section 321… hopefully we’ll be in the shade for a Shohei masterpiece….!

O’Hoppe can’t get back soon enough.

A fun fact I learned about that last year: they are not the same hot dogs that they sell for normal price. 
 
So you’re getting an even worse product than the normal crappy ballpark hot dog.
