  1. The separation between his quality starts and awful starts boggles my mind.
  2. Damn it. Anyone but Fletcher.
  3. He is 23...I think. His pitches seem to have really good movement. His locating needs work. He could become a very important piece in building a solid rotation. I would not be so quick in determining his impact just yet.......
  4. No on Marsh. Prices always drop during the off season. Eppler does not need to be an impulse buyer at this point.
  5. Dipoto can have back any of the players he drafted or signed while with the Angels for Leake. Baldoquin and Ward are two that come to mind.
  6. I would guess that this is not a problem as long as the DH does not take a position on the field. Regarding the substitution, I am guessing the second pitcher entered the game for the 1B who left the game. The fact that two pitchers are on the field should not be a problem. If this is a problem, the Angels may need to rethink their efforts with Cowart and Walsh. I don't see why MLB would have a problem with this, except for the Red Sox loss.
  7. What about correctional facilities like Dodger Stadium?
  8. Cam has served up 2 grand slams for the Astros this season. He is having a good year statistically but he still seems to have trouble at crucial times. I think how Cam is used is more indicative of his performance this season than his stats. I have no confidence in Cam when inheriting runners on base.
  9. Would things be better if the attendance was similar to the Rays?
  10. No to Archer. The Angels just flushed an Archer type pitcher.
  11. If Pujols continues to accept a decrease in power for an increase in opposite field hitting, I’m good with him finishing his contract. His defense is still solid.
  12. Pony was the worst. I always liked Puma.
  13. Well, I remember a rotation of Tanana, Ryan and three days of crying.
  14. When are the Angels going to give Cash Considerations a chance to be in the starting rotation?
  15. Every time I try trading @Lou I only get "maybe" as the result.
  16. @SlappyUtilityMIF does a nice job of explaining some of the basic mechanics distinguishing pitching from throwing. I would predict that some AW posters could dissect a golf swing with an equal amount of precision despite not being professional golf coaches. Langston has consistently pointed out problems with the pitching that "should be obvious" to the people in charge. Clearly something is not working for the pitching staff. At this point, whatever is being done is not working, has not worked and will probably never work with the current players. @Dochalo does a nice job of describing some of the issues that have plagued the Angels pitching staff this season. I think the problem is deeper than "the pitchers suck."
