If Arte wanted to open up the pocketbook and it didn't hurt our chances of extending Trout, I'm in the camp that would be all for it. 

But I don't think it's that realistic. I'm personally feeling we may see Adell rather quickly, so at this time, I'd be fine dumping Kole's salary if possible and trying something cheap in the interim.

Greinke, Ray, Avila and $20 million for Kole, Suarez and Marsh.  

I had posted earlier about taking a gamble on Harvey as a dumpster dive move because he had somewhat improved in Cincinnati but 11 mil is certainly not what I had in mind. That’s too much for someone who might not stick in the rotation. Hopefully he is willing to be utilized from the bullpen when needed. 

If paid $2-3 million in 2019, Holland might be able to replace fellow LHP Alvarez in that role?

Even when he struggled he didn’t surrender the home run, something the Angels bullpen struggled with giving up 82 of them. Seems like a cheap bullpen candidate that the Angels should keep a tab on.

Well, those guys were culled from the minor-waiver dumpster...
For guys that have enough service time to reach free agency, it's tough to find a palatable cost in relation to projected performance.
For the rotation, I'd like to see if guys like Lance Lynn, Gio Gonzalez, or Matt Harvey would be affordable...could you get one of these guys for the price akin to Matt Moore or a one year deal slightly north of that,
Maybe sign someone like Tillman to a minor league deal.
The Angels have money but I think you commit your big bucks to the sure things Machado or Harper and try to avoid the Eovaldi-like deals where you are paying a premium on filler. 

I read that Eppler wanted durable pitching. Patrick Corbin already had a Tommy John surgery in his career, and after witnessing the pitching injuries this season we didn’t need to sign a guy that had that issue in the past for the stupid money the Nats gave him. Too bad Ohtani had the same injury but at least he is younger and can still contribute offensively at the plate. With luck hopefully Ohtani can recover faster.

The biggest move the Angels could possibly make this winter is extending Trout for life. What if Trout is only willing to consider an extension if the Angels make the playoffs this year? After this offseason if the team is one or two good players away from contending, would trading Adell or Canning in July or sooner be the answer? We have to trade good value to get good value and in the playoffs we have to compete against Houston, Boston, New York. Without Adell or Canning in the farm it becomes weaker but there are still some ok to solid prospects. So in this scenario if 2019 goes wrong jumpstarting a rebuild should be considered. 

Don’t need to explain yourself man.  Welcome to the board.  Most of the ribbing is good natured.  The “kingfish” nick name is usually referencing Tim Salmon.  One of the better players in team history.  He played in the mid 90’s and early 2000’s.  Was part of the World Series winning team. 
Ive heard  the nick name “kidfish” associated with Trout but not often.  I think the Angels website has “Millville Meteor”.  If that sort of thing is important to you. 
Anyway.  As a bunch of people have already noted, this trade idea would be bad for all the reasons they mentioned.  It’s not feasible in the slightest.

Would you guys support a trade of Andrelton Simmons, Brandon Marsh and Jahmai Jones to the Marlins for J.T. Realmuto? Hopefully the inclusion of Simmons can keep Adell and Canning out of the deal. Is this enough to get it done? How about also signing Manny Machado to play shortstop in this scenario? 

Kind of new to baseball. I know the rules but still trying to figure out the value of certain guys and positions of teams. All I really knew about the Angels were that the Pujols contract is bad, and Trout is the best. I figured the Marlins would want Simmons to trade him immediately for more prospects.
