2004 comes to mind. After the huge off-season and the team actually performed up to expectations, getting swept by the Red Sox, especially ending with a walk-off by David Ortiz over the Green Monster, was devastating. Vlad even had a grand slam in Game 3, but it didn't matter.
Memorable moment indeed. Even Berman's call.

Bauer and Thor should have a battle of "who can dig up old offensive screenshot tweets" contest.

Probably would have won the division (or at least got the WC) if not for the poor start in 2012. Pujols put up near-2011 numbers after his terrible April. And the TNT combo (Trumbo n Trout), Trout's memorable ROY season.

I’d like to see Odorizzi added so they can at least have a vet on the staff if Bundy walks. Detmers has never pitched in the minors and Rodriguez has been hurt a bunch. If they sign Odorizzi they can send Sandoval to AAA for regular reps and Barria to the pen as the long man/spot starter. It would also allow Ohtani to build up slowly.
2021 would be Bundy, Odorizzi, Heaney, Quintana, Cobb, and Ohtani on Sundays.
2022 is looking like Ohtani, Barria, Sandoval, ?, ?, ?
What about Griffin Canning?

Imagine, we had Finley, Langston, and Abbott at the same time. Probably if we had half of the offense we had now, we would've been great.
I remember in 1992, Jim Abbott went 7-15.....with a 2.77 ERA. Anemic offense that year, Gary Gaetti "led" the team with 12 HR.

In state fans only? Hopefully that will change later this summer.
